Fenixp: Third Reich got crushed after like 4 years and Soviet government was hardly functional.
I'm sure the czechs would like the " barely functional" regime back in power.

rtcvb32: edit: Curiously only Controlled Demolitions explains the twin towers and tower 7.
Wrong twice over, at least, for the main two towers. You should look up what a volume skeleton is, and compare it to the steel cylinder structure type of the main two towers. You know, if you're at all interested in actually learning anything, instead of just being pants-on-head crazy, as you're turning out to be. There's a whole host of good reasons why the conspiracy theorists won't use simulations from the actual buildings and instead rely on comparisons to other buildings which look vaguely similar on the outside but bear no resemblance, structurally speaking.

Mercury in the form of thimerosal (which you'd know about if you had done any research, but you're not interested in that any more, are you? Just spouting nonsense. What a terrified little life you must now lead) is unlike mercury in ionic or "elemental" form; it clears quickly and easily from the body. You get less mercury in your body from vaccines than from a can of tuna fish. And of course, mercury was removed from vaccines for children fifteen years ago, because people were concerned and there were viable alternatives. It wasn't removed because it was unsafe. So in fact, people in developmental stages get no mercury at all from vaccines. Just from their food. Because good mommies and daddies make sure that kids get plenty of fish, which is high in good fatty acids which help brain development. And also full of methylmercury, which is harder to clear from the body than thimerosal.

Want another thing to freak out about? Guess what's in vitamin b-12? Hint: cyanocobalamin

Oh, that's so sweet. Let me save us all some time, since we just did this two years ago with JCD-Bionicman. I even mentioned it earlier in this thread.

Good luck. You've got an actual research chemist in there giving facts. If you were actually the least bit interested, if you wanted to be anything other than a madman worthy of scorn, you'd go get your learn on from that thread. It's a veritable undergraduate primer on clearance mechanisms, steady-state dosing, and the mechanisms of action regarding fluoride ions. Plus is also handily debunks literally everything you're capable of imagining as reasons to be scared of it.

Hell, regarding vaccines, the original proponent for the link was doing fradulent, unethical research when he claimed that.

https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/antivaccine-hero-andrew-wakefield-scientific-fraud/

And he had a direct financial interest since he had a godamn patent on the "single" vaccine that he was pushing to replace the MMR vaccine he was blaming. He literally was in it for the money.

Can vaccines have adverse reactions? Yes. And they fucking suck. But they are extremely rare. And if everyone that CAN get vaccinated without having and adverse reaction gets vaccinated, even those that cannot (not WILL NOT) will be protected since the rates of infection will be much lower, indirect protection due to herd immunity is better than no protection.

Also fucking hell, even if the vaccines were a cause for autism, the anti-vaccine position could be fucking summarized as "I would rather have a dead child than an autistic one".
Or if not dead, at least suffering needlessly from perfectly preventable diseases that can lead to permanent damage quite easily.

rtcvb32: Actually truth can be stranger than fiction.
Anybody can say that and use it against political candidate you support.
You will make a better case if you use topics that has turn out to be true instead of defending any media. You had fallen into the endless trap of defending character assassination.

For example regarding election fraud, you can state articles that turn out to be true, like Arizona’s Secretary of State has confirmed that election fraud took place.
http://usuncut.com/politics/arizona-election-fraud-primary/

You can show that in some places there are more votes then the voting age population
http://pamelageller.com/2010/10/voter-fraud-alert-fifteen-missouri-counties-have-more-voters-than-population.html/

You can cite data from Election Justice USA that the election process is flawed.

Info Wars has too many false alarms to be taken seriously.

Would just like to state that OneFiercePuppy has done a marvellous job in this thread.

So much madness and he has mostly stayed calmed and argued against the hollow claims. Many years back I used too much time arguing against people claiming the US government was behind WTC attacks and such. Usually it doesn't lead anywhere with the person offering lunatic claims (as in this thread), but the hope is always that somebody else reading will learn something.

Breja: Ok, GOG forum, seriously now- I don't care about my rep one way or the other, but why the hell is it it's the sane people in the thread being downvoted and not the crazy fella? You know, if you think I shouldn't be making fun of this stuff because it might anger our lizardmen overlords, at least have the decency to come out and say it :D
I recognized your quote from the 1998 X-Files movie right away. Totally made me chuckle since Kurtzweil is such an eccentric character. As for the downrepping, maybe other folks thought you were being serious with your claims? In any event, I've come to the conclusion that the GOG forums work in mysterious ways :P

OT, we should totally revive the X-Files viewing thread from the Season 10 miniseries. I've been re-watching the series for the millionth time and I was looking for a place to chat about it.

I'm rewatching it right now. I'm at the star of season 8, so I've got two seasons + Lone Gunmen to go. I've been planning to make a X-Files retrospective thread once I'm done to discuss it. It's funny how my opinion about a lof of things in the show changed (orm aybe evolved) since I last saw it (but I still like it, probably even more than I did).

Well, there was always the off chance it's going to be about a follow up to TekWar.

Oh neat! Hit me up whenever you start the thread. I just started re-watching the show from the mid-point of the series (around seasons 4-5).

Season 8 definitely had its moments, but overall it felt like the show was beginning to unravel. On the one hand, I really liked Dogget as a character since he was a down-to-earth cop and a good foil to Scully (who had spent years working on the X-Files). However, I've always thought that after season 7 the show's mythology never recovered since they resolved the major story arc concerning the syndicate.

I remember someone saying that at season 8 X-FIles sort of became a spin-off of itself, and it sounds about right - it's still good, but doesn't really feel like quite the same show. I always regreted that they only introduced Dogget in season 8. He's a really cool character, and if he was esteblished for some time before season 8 there wouldn't be this awkward feel of the show grindingly shifting gears so to speak. Still, I'll reserve final judgement untill I've watched the whole thing. I've never even seen season 9.

If you haven't seen Season 9 yet, you'll definitely want to temper your expectations. By that point in time, it's pretty clear that the series had lost its magic and had fallen into the trappings of a show that spent way too long on the air. I'm sure you'll see what I mean once you watch it. :P

As for the stuff about Doggett, I think you're totally right. He's a pretty great character, but he was definitely rushed into a central role after all of the muck-a-muck about Mulder's disappearance. Fans were really upset that Robert Patrick was chosen to replace David Duchovny, but in all honesty I think he helped breathe life into a stagnating series. Unlike Monica Reyes, Doggett was never intended to be a copy of Mulder. Instead, Doggett was this new and completely different character with an altogether different outlook on the X-Files. As for Monica Reyes, I thought she became way more interesting when she appeared in the new mini-series and her character was expanded upon to distinguish her from the others, but then again... in season 10 we see the return of some more lazy Mulder and Scully knock-offs (i.e., Agents Miller and Einstein).
