It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The updated client (3.2.14.0) doesn't really solve my issues when it comes to downloading games. Now the issue is not losing MB's, but complete downloads as I get a CRC error in between downloads.

Can you guys please return to the traditional method of downloading games from your site? Cause this is getting a bit frustrating.
It's the same here. Downloads through the GOG utility (3.2.14.0) have gotten so buggy that I've become forced to go back to regular browser downloads. They may not be as fast, but they're much more reliable than the current state of the GOG downloader.

I'm even running it on a fresh install, not an upgrade (recently had to format my HD and reinstall Win7 from scratch), and it's still giving me fits.
Win7 x64
I have a similar problem. The GOG downloader doesn't really work like a good download manager. It restarts all downloads after exiting and never finishes a download, because there are always some error on chunk ... issues. And with the browser there is the problem that the download link seems to be of a limited time so that I cannot really use that one either. The server should allow multiple segments for downloading (as the FDM works). That would make downloading a lot faster.
Can we go back to the version of the downloader before the one released last thursday? It was fine for me until then.
same here. i can't downloard anything after the last patch. it worked great before. i get errors on panzer general games. and heroes of might and magic 2 shows it downloaded it but keeps going.

GOG staff has been saying a downgrade is impossible due to internal system changes, so we're stuck waiting for a patch.

Any word on when the next patch will be released, GOG?
Was trying to download the installer for Warsow, and it was downloading just fine, but got stuck at "499.82 MB of 511.95 MB" and wouldn't proceed with downloading extra content, or the next game that I selected for download (Theme Hospital)

Downloader: 3.2.14.0 (stable)
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, English

I tried to get you the log file information, but noticed the logger.log file was 10 megabytes in size and stretched back in time quite a ways, so I shut down the downloader completely, renamed the log, fired the downloader up again, and ... the game that was stuck now shows as complete, and the other downloads resumed and completed properly.

This new downloader version feels... twitchy.

You mean the version where if you removed a game from the queue, you paused the download and quit the program, in fact if you quit the program for any reason including OS implosion, or if your net connection failed for one single second, you DIDN'T lose every last scrap of what you'd already downloaded?

And just as a bonus, there was this little routine built in that said, "hey, I see you're already logged in with your browser, which is after all the only way to add things to the queue, so I won't make you type your name and password all over again." That was sort of a basic feature, but I enjoyed it.

In exchange for the ability to download every last shred of "bonus materials" en bloc, receive message notifications during download (browser does it), get news about updates (I do have a browser), and type my securely random-gibberish password every time I start it up, I have a dedicated GoG-only downloader that is, at best, exactly like downloading with HTTP.

Instead of patching the downloader, how about rolling back the patches on the server end? I have about 4 Gb of incomplete downloads taking up space and the new program isn't backward compatible, nor will the old browser pick up where it left off on any of them. What is this, an elaborate joke?
I've often had issues with the stability of the downloader, mostly crashing randomly or when adding new files), however the current build has proven completely useless.

I can attest to seeing errors with the endless download, pausing and resuming appears to "fix" the issue I found but instead resulted in a corrupted file.

I'm on Windows XP Pro SP3 with a wireless 3G connection so at first I thought the issues were due to it.

However the major issue I've had occurring is the chunk errors. http://pastebin.com/K52rSkqn

Please note I'd cleaned out the app data folder already suspecting it was a big part of my issues which settled down some of the crashing which seemed to be due to the garbage collection routine while adding files or hitting the clear.

Guys, I don't know what's wrong, GOG.com used to run fine and dandy. Now the Downloader won't even update (It takes hours on a VDSL line to get halfway through the download and then it says it's corrupted and kicks me right out) and I tried manually downloading the games and they will take 24 hours each. This is insane and really cannot be happening.

Is that an internal system error with you or is something wrong with my machine? All download speeds are normal except for GoG.com!
Got 2 dls done without the chunk thing but tried downloading BG2 and got it again

At the beginning of next week we will release new version of Downloader.
Thanks for the heads-up!

I love GoG's customer policy and business model, but right now, all my games are pretty much un-downloadable (Even after the abnormal hours it takes for them to download, they come up with Cheksum Error 3 and refuse to run.)

So yeah, waitin' on a sunny day ;)

I received that after I downloaded the previous update. I added admin rights to the downloader.exe, try that if you have access.
