Neah, I use a separate partition for games. However it was very annoying with Android ADT for example, since i had to start it in admin mode every time I wanted to install some components.

Dermiras: hey guys, i have a problem. I tried to install The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but it keeps going to tell me I ran out of Disk Space. So I tried changing the folder, but i can't switch to my other harddisk. i don't want to install the game on C:/, where i have only 13 GB left. i want it to install it to my 1.43 TB hardrive. Any solutions or hints?

RWarehall: Did you try running it as Admin? And if you are using Galaxy you may also need to run that as admin as well.
Yeah i did, but i can only choose folders in C:/ I mean I found the reason why I had so less space( Battlefield *Hustle*) but i don't want any games on this harddrive, so this is really annoying^^

You could try moving the installer to D: and seeing if it wants to install there I guess.
I was having the same problem - went to the Galaxy EXE and set to run as administrator, and I went to the my GOG games install folder, went into the settings, and gave everyone "all permission" (read/write). That fixed it for me!
I have the same problem and I need to insall updates and DLCs for The Witcher 3 manually :/
Please GOG do something about it, it must be repaired as soon as possible :(
I was getting the same error and noticed that GOG Galaxy never actually created the folders it wanted to use for "Download games to:" or "Download extras to:". I did the following to resolve the situation:

1. Checked the box to "Manage all folders manually".
2. Manually created a folder for those locations. (This is where GOG Galaxy failed)
3. Pointed the two locations to that folder.

I can now download and install just fine. Hope that helps!

I get the exact same issue! New, smaller SDD, 1TB HDD, want to install to it and it says out of space!

How did you get the manual check window open can't find it at all
Sorry folks, hadn't seen this thread for a bit. When you first open the GOG Galaxy client, there should be a little gear icon in the lower-left. Click that and you'll see the screen I included above. Hope that helps!
Personally, I found that I had to select More -> Uninstall then restart the download after selecting the desired install location. Even though it never installed anything to begin with, I had to do that to reset the install location.
This should have been fixed by now. And no! Your solution did not work for me. Stupid developers who only think about installing games to C....
