I was having the same problem - went to the Galaxy EXE and set to run as administrator, and I went to the my GOG games install folder, went into the settings, and gave everyone "all permission" (read/write). That fixed it for me!

I have the same problem and I need to insall updates and DLCs for The Witcher 3 manually :/
Please GOG do something about it, it must be repaired as soon as possible :(

I recently bought Witcher 3, after placing it in my library, I import the dowload in the E drive that has 1.42 TO of valid space and than an error message appear: Installations Failed: Out of Disk Space

I get the exact same issue! New, smaller SDD, 1TB HDD, want to install to it and it says out of space!

1. Checked the box to "Manage all folders manually".
2. Manually created a folder for those locations. (This is where GOG Galaxy failed)
3. Pointed the two locations to that folder.
I can now download and install just fine. Hope that helps!

How do you get to the options window that you screens hotted above?
The only thing I see is privacy and options which doesnt give me the same screen you show?

Sorry folks, hadn't seen this thread for a bit. When you first open the GOG Galaxy client, there should be a little gear icon in the lower-left. Click that and you'll see the screen I included above. Hope that helps!

Personally, I found that I had to select More -> Uninstall then restart the download after selecting the desired install location. Even though it never installed anything to begin with, I had to do that to reset the install location.

This should have been fixed by now. And no! Your solution did not work for me. Stupid developers who only think about installing games to C....
