You keep making changes that I hate--first trashing your web design, and now this--with the justification that it's totally important for Galaxy. A lot of posters have voiced concerns about Galaxy, but it was GOG that killed my enthusiasm for it.
p.s.
Ciris: Galaxy wasn't supposed to affect other users, and this is affecting us. As I said in my initial post, and in this one as well, the change isn't dictated by the introduction of the GOG Galaxy Client. Instead, it's a change we'd been planning and a change that's been asked for many times that we're implementing at this time. The fact that it'll make for faster installations when using the optional client is just an extra bonus :)
mrkgnao: Thank you for your answer. Could you please point me to the wishlist entry that requested this feature. I would like to see how many people voted for it.
The people who were requesting this and the people who were totally ecstatic about the web design changes should form a club.
The thing
is that there advantages to having things bundled together, and advantages to having things separated. I don't think this had to be a big deal. But GOG did what GOG wanted to do (which is their right, at least to a point), and GOG then came to us and told us that we loved it and they only did it because they asked us to, and oh, what a happy coincidence that this thing we totally wanted them to do happened to be what they needed to do for Galaxy, and I am sick of being spoken to like an idiot child.
