Please, GOG, bundle again all Heroes Chronicles chapters together. D:

I already mentioned this, but Ultima 1 cover art is from the wrong game.

I was just going to write the same thing. That's from the back of the Ultima 2 box (and in later re-issues of the first game)
Some things I noticed:
The cover art for Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards is wrong, it uses the cover art for the VGA remake.
All 5 Quest For Glory games use the same artwork which is from Quest For Glory 3. Would look nice if it were the originals (that goes for all games).
Some artworks are ruined by annoying close-ups like Ultima Underworld 2 has a major close-up and you miss all the rest of the beautiful artwork.

Otherwise I'd just like to say I have always loved the "shelf" system of GOG, it looks so nice. And even better when all the games gets unbundled. Just needs some adjustment.

mrkgnao: *super snip*

Nothing to add really except that it would have been so much better if the unbundling was done at the installer level i.e. one box but with separate installers for all the games under it which would have worked fine on Galaxy as well. Apart from that great effort with the compilation of all the issues and grievances with the haphazard implementation of this unbundling by GOG mrkgnao so a +1 to you as always. I really hope there is an acknowledgment from one of the blues regarding this even if it is the stock "we will look into this" response.

mrkgnao: snip
A few more for the list:
* All the serial numbers for Heroes of Might and Magic 5 appear in the "HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIC V + HAMMERS OF FATE" entry. However, the serial number for "Tribes of the East" should instead be moved to the (now unbundled) "HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIC V - TRIBES OF THE EAST".
* The thumbnail for "HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIC V - TRIBES OF THE EAST" in list view is obviously wrong, since it says "Battle Isle 2".
* The inconsistencies regarding the use of demarcating punctuation (dash vs colon) happens a lot on unbundled games as well. For example, some Star Wars games have demarcating punctuation, while others don't.
* The later is also true for the use of numbers vs roman numerals (III vs 3, etc.). Regarding unbundled games in particular, this happens for example with the Ultima series (I don't own them, but the list on the first post says so) and in the Heroes of Might and Magic series (we have Heroes of Might and Magic, 2, 3, 4 & V).
* The two Heroes of Might and Magic V games are missing the registered label on the title.

I found more stuff during the last week, this is just what I can remember off the top of my head.

paladin181: When downloading games through the Galaxy client it does not access the same files publicly available through the GoG Downloader or the GoG web interface. It was posted somewhere in the Galaxy Alpha thread by a blue, but I can't recall exactly where. Someone was asking why their game was updating in Galaxy but when he downloaded the installer it was the same version, and they were told that the files are from different sources.

mrkgnao: Holy mackerel!
I can't believe it's not automated and simultaneous.
I can already see it. Games being updated in Galaxy and not on the website (or vice versa).
Has the Galaxy API been published somewhere?
Just caught this interchange. What an absolute fiasco, and it certainly points towards Galaxy being the only rigourously supported solution in future.

Welcome to Galaxy, powered by Thin End Of The Wedge™ technology!
Now my collection looks like a mess now. If we are going to be forced into Not having things bound can we at least Have some sort of collection view on the shelf for Franchises? IE Group By franchise..... so all the tomb raiders are 1 Collection and so forth. for example. if you have a series like the zork collection it is now all over the place because they don't all start with the word "ZORK" This now reminds me of Steam and how everything is forcefully alphabetized with no regard to order. Some games don't appear in chronical order ether. Crusader no remorse should come before no regret and so forth.

mrkgnao: Dear GOG,
Great list! Thanks for pulling it together, and to everyone who contributed.

Don't know if it belongs in there, but I've noticed an increasing trend of extras not being labelled in the GOG Downloader, even when their names are set on the shelf. I just experienced the issue with Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, where none of the bonus items had a name in the Downloader (just a blank).

That's not new. It's been there for months. I would hazard a guess that it began at the same time as the appearance of the first product_bonuses.

P.S. Congrats on winning the game in the Thank the Fellows giveaway.

Aye, I was just posting that occurrences seem to be on the rise. Almost as though the Downloader wasn't being given as much attention. But then what else could be?

Cheers, it's nice to feel well-thought-about.
Thanks gog! I much prefer this!!!!
Not sure if it's related to the unbundling, but extras and sizes of them lost their alignment today. Note this is with the GOG Downloader option disabled.

Anyone else seeing something similar in List View?

Just bought syberia, the downloader is not working for me.

[edit] downloaded it again, it starts, but when I click on bonus content, files are not being added to the downloader?

I don't have The Dig, but I randomly tested a dozen or so games/sub-games, bundled and unbundled, and I cannot see any such feature.

Is this unique to The Dig?

Tested Syberia just now with the downloader. No problem here.

False alarm, sorry. I fiddled with the text zoom feature on another site earlier and it spilled over here.
