GOG, have you gone bonkers? These games are (on average) more than 15 years old.

Not to mention, there exist free open-source and, dare I say, superior alternatives. Like say Xonotic.

I happily pay for these games since I freaking love them and besides,as Licurg pointed out,it's the publisher who decides the price. This.

I wasn't being serious. That was a reference to the regionlocking of those four games for Germans.

Bethesda makes those prices not GOG, in the case of Quake 1 and 2 you should feel lucky, if you buy them with their expansions they'd cost you double on Steam.

I think the situation is this, Bethesda knows these are still highly sought after games and so profits from the situation, It's kinda ironic since Skyrim has definitely cost much more to produce yet the base game sells for 15e.

GOG does probably negotiate quite a bit with the publishers to determine the prices. I remember some talk about indie games being rejected by GOG because they couldn't reach an agreement in that area.

That said, the id games largely seem to have the same prices here as they do on Steam.

Aside Wolfenstein 3D, Quake 3 and maybe Quake 1+2, the prices look fine to me.

Then don't, and buy them during the current sale at -50%.

Also, certainly read what Ganni1987 said. These are basically the same prices as on Steam.
