Breja: Hmm... more games I wouldn't be able to affor anyway, or an opportunity to finally buy some of the games that have been on my wishlist for months or more... Yeah, I think I like the sale more.
The problem with this is that it rewards the cheapskates while punishing loyal customers.

People spend more money if you buy games on day-one. Loyal customers (such as myself) who don't wishlist everything for a sale (like the cheapskates and key beggars do) should be given some form of reward for not purchasing everything at sales. For example something like Loyalty Points which can be spent latter on games.

1)Thanks for being an asshole. It's nice to get insulted for not having too much spare cash to spend on games, or simply prioritizing other things over games. Actually, I mostly see you being an asshole around here. A pity there isn't some Asshole Points system. You'd be able to buy the whole GOG catalogue.

2)You're not being punished. You're just not being "rewarded". That's not the same thing. At all.

But then you wouldn't pay for games with money, but loyalty points! You are just suggesting discounts for buying games for full price, but then they aren't really full price anymore, are they? Actually GOG already has such a system, that store credit thingie.

Anyway, in my experience GOG does reward loyalty, with those bundle discounts which take into account your earlier GOG purchases too. I like that. People who have most of the games on e.g. Steam and only buy from GOG occasionally probably like it less.

Anyway, the logic goes that you pay the higher price for a new game for the privilege of being able to play it earlier. It doesn't make sense to complain that you've been punished then, you paid for getting the game earlier. Look at me, I still don't have e.g. Skyrim, while rest of the world has already played and modded it to hell and back, and are already looking forward to Skyrim 2 (or Elsweyr, Black Marsh, High Rock, or whatever Bethesda will call the next TES game; except for Oblivion, they all seem to be named after the different Tamriel regions from the first TES: Arena game...).

David9855: ...... Max Payne series, more Splinter Cells more Ubisoft games in general and the rest of the THQ and relic games.

phandom: I wish that too.
However, games available as drm-free usually means they can't sell any more drm copies.
So, we'll have to wait.
Are you sure? I don't believe that, because most people just want to have everything on Steam and don't care for anything else.

I'm talking about the publishers. They release games as drm-free only as a last resort (the majority at least)
That's why we have to wait, here on gog, before more good games are added to the catalog.
A new game, Dreamfall chapter 4 is released in this sales, so......

It's not a new game, the game is episodic.
Not releasing it when it comes out would be stupid.

Then you should probably email the publishers or get your friends to set up GoG accounts. GoG's options are limited in attracting publishers to their platform. One of the main bargaining chips GoG has is their number of accounts. The more they have the more likely they can persuade a publisher into making a GoG release. I'm not sure if GoG has ever stated what their account numbers are but I would guess between 1-2million at most. Compared to Steam at over 125million and growing it's all too easy for publishers to ignore GoG. A larger number of accounts and pressure from consumers may entice publishers into thinking there is a market for their products on GoG.
