PhilD: Unless you played Decathlon. :)

Wishbone: Decathlon could kill any joystick. Except possibly The Arcade. You could beat a grizzly bear to death with that thing and it would still work. Best damn joystick ever made.
decathlon i played that alot , my poor right wrist had some stress to endure.
left right left right and bam hit the button to jump

good old days, and the joysticks were sold a lot, i must say that the 2600 atari joystick was quite strong, the omly thing was that the rubberhandle might come loose, other then that it was a nice joystick.

i had 2 arcades.... very good joystick with an iron shaft instead of plastic.

The Boss was a grey stick meant for flight sims i think , it was awful to use...

ZFR: I just got the same swing and miss with Pier Solar. Looks like a glitch for that game only. I don't think it's related to not being able to buy, since I could buy the game normally for full price.

montcer9012: Your problem isn't related at all to the loop were are facing.

The problem you are facing is simple: HTML5 code and browsers that interpret code that doesn't exist rather than force developers to write a complete code. So, don't complain on GOG but Apple and Google for HTML5.

DISCLAIMER: HTML5 is cool, lots of improvements, but could be better.
thats because unlike most of the devlopers claim, HTML is not ready yet and not fully implemented.
its just another toy they want it to become cause html was always there but nowadays they feel the urge to add things one would normally use flash for.

The problem with flash is the security leaks, and the heavy battery usage, it seems to drain the batteries of mobile devices.
I am not a flash wizz or developer , but i still think that html5 cant replace flash.

The canvas thing they hype about is till simple, i saw some demos but i wasnt shocked, flash handles it all better.
The animations they make still require loose images, if you dont have the pathcs right you get a broken image icon, meaning the picture is not visible.

In flash if you put all in a swf container you check to make sure that the folder it needs i corrects and the rest works cause all the graphics are inside the swf.

I saw some html 5 games, nice game but they still have a high cpu usage, and they wanted it to be less high then flash, so flash is still best for multimedia content.

Plus in flash you can easily make these annoying adds we see all over the internet much quicker then using js and other codes.

NEO117: I think I'll open another support ticket listing to this thread just so they're aware of what's going on. They most likely are at this point but just to be safe.

And I almost forgot about Pandemic. :(

And Maxis is dead as of today... Another victim of EA Games: Murder everything.
Maxis i know that name its old isnt it?

lets google on this

" Maxis was a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, serving as one of its four major video game development labels."

subsidiary:(google)

"The subsidiary can be a company, corporation, or limited liability company. In some cases it is a government or state-owned enterprise. The controlling entity is called its parent company, parent, or holding company."

aha now i get it, we have differnt names for it in dutch so i had to use google, its quite complicated all those things they do.

I read that the games didnot sell well so the closed that part.

Pandemic also wellknown name

googled again:

Pandemic Studios
Electronic game company
Pandemic Studios was an independent developer founded in 1998. Between 2007 and 2009 it became an Electronic Arts-owned developer, and shortly afterwards closed.
Founder: Josh Resnick
Founded: 1998, Santa Monica, California, United States

all the good stuff seems to be moved leaving more room for 'others'

But to get back on topic again: the case of not able to buy...

I read the articles and it appears to be a certain region than troubles it.

I think we can only wait to see what can be done, i dont know how the ticket system goes , but on most sites they always say that more tickets push things back or so.

Best is to let GOG handle it from now cause i am certain they do their best to fix it, i am confident about that.

UPDATE: Ok, come morning I was able to actually buy something. But this is getting ridiculous. I use GOG for convenience's sake and a better price, but I don't think GOG is always the best option, here.

I would sorely love to be completely mistaken.

The problem with Flash was that Adobe charges too much money for licensing it, so wasn't profitable. What I am in disagree was the HTML5 implementation while it still in a kinda "BETA" fase.

yes i agree , adobe charges way too much money , they have some nice software, photoshop for instance, it is maybe hard to learn but it is among , if not the best program on windows, the price however with 3 zeros behind a number is way too much.
The elements software cant be compared to their flagship photoshop, if the photoshop licence for retail would have been 300 euros at most , that might have been a affordable price, current price is only for companies.
Nowadays they have the milkcow Photoshop CC, i read many reviews, and absically most tell that they charge monthly recurring fees for more of the same, the updates and extras are minimal everytime.

Regarding HTML5 in sort of beta fase, i feel the same way, it feels like a hasty job, so its half done, its far from finished, probably because there are too many browsers, if there were 3 browsers for PC
IE, FF Chrome things might have been done already.

I hate Adobe. I hated Steve Jobs as well but I am glad he turn off Adobe's business with HTML5; big companies sometimes forgot they aren't unbeatable.

I think IE and Firefox were enough. Chrome is Google's childest issue as it wasn't necessary. IE does not interpret code so web developers were forced to write down all the code need for a website to work the way they intended to.
Chromium engines does interpret, meaning that much times websites will not work web developers intended to.
Yeah, we gain web browsing speed for that reason, but the browsing experience is suffering for that reason.

About security... We should give Chrome a few years in the leadership to see as all pirated target it as they do with IE.

My favorite browser has been Opera, and I starting to hate it since they implemented the Chromium engine.

truly spoken , i agree....

i dont like jobs either, i hate apple , also hate adobe (cause they have some good stuff but they abuse it and ask absurd prices)
Chrome brower is on my pc cause i need to see if some css and stuff shows as in IE and FF other then that i hate chrome and IE.
FF is since 3.4 my default browser....
although that new chrom e like interface messed up things so i read that 1000s or more people are using a plugin to switch back to the old FF..
Microsoft is another crap, i read an article in pcgameplay (dutch version) that i buy monthly since 1993
(i have to dump these magazines eevry 2 years or so cause they take too many space)
about win 10
they gonna make a circus out of it... integration with xbox will be easier (nice for the younger public today, the old farts among the users (like myself) wont like that, much more stuff to do with that social media hype, and more of that crap that is typically aimed for the younger users and future users who havent been working with windows since win7 or so and mostly win8 so these people dont know better then win8 is tha bomb...
In a few years windows wont be windows like we used to know, all these changes that are made, usually only for the worse.

Gamesfreak64, was this ever solved
I am currently trying to buy
Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
(and the enhanced editions of earlier Baldur's Gate games)
I can pull up the appropriate page
Click on the 'Add To Cart' button
Which modifies my cart icon in the top bar to have a 1 (rather than zero)
and changes the button to 'Checkout Now'
I click 'Checkout Now' and am taken to an order page which states 'Your Order Is Empty' ?

Further experimentation reveals after I have got the cart icon to 1
I cannot get it to 2 by clicking on any other products ?

If this discussion has been abandoned please let me know and I'll create a new one

All the best

As I was logging out of GOG I got the following (might or might not be relevant)
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

i dont know, the topic is quite old now... i di'nt create the topic back then, i only replied,
i was able to buy some games later during that promo, but it had its slow speeds and fast speeds... overall i managed to buy some good games.

Sometimes it might be browser causing some problems, thats why i also installed chrome browser, firefox has been my default browser since version 3 , and IE 11x, well its there, with win 7 .

if problems do continue you might ask support about it.
Thank for answering especially as I clearly can't even scroll to the top of a page to get the topic originator correctly, Doh!

I will try Chrome and if still unsuccessful will let support know

All the best
