adaliabooks: This, this and more this. GoG are not regionally blocking games because they want to, they are doing it because the law says they have to. Why is that so hard for people to grasp?
They might have gotten away with it when they were smaller but not any more.
GOG is regionally blocking games because the Publishers force them to do so. In fact there is no law at least for Germany which says a regionlock for Game XY is required! Law was part of my studies and believe me if there would be such a law I would definitely know it!
And if GOG says that it is required by law then they are simply lying to protect the Publisher because there are games with the same content which are still available in the german GOG store.
