amok: I am tempting on biting on that "Sir, you are being hunted"
If you want to buy it, please note that the game is still in alpha or beta and not completely developed. Think it's a little strange that you can't find that information on the Humble Store site.

johnki: You guys do realize Expeditions Conquistador's DRM-free version is self-published, whereas the Steam version is published by bitComposer which is why it's not available DRM-free in that bundle right?
I didn't; thanks for the explanation. It doesn't make their offer any more attractive, but at least it means nobody just 'forgot' the game was DRM-free elsewhere.

Thats kind of lousy.Im wondering why the devs didnt push it onto steam themselves?

VanishedOne: It's interesting to see how decoupled the storefront is from the widget: the former is currently selling a Steam-only Dear Esther at a discount, while http://dear-esther.com/ is simultaneously using the widget to sell it DRM-free at full price.
That says a lot...

If you could choose between a publisher and Greenlight...

I checked just now and it shows the DRM Free icon over Dear Esther now. I saw earlier when it didn't also, so I guess someone e-mailed them to complain and they added it.

The point of kickstarter was to allow devs to make their own games and self publish etc. Whats the point when they end up with a publisher and not able to control how that game sells etc ?

Getting funding and getting on Steam are two completely different things. How many Kickstarter games do you see getting a free pass to get on Steam?

Besides, the publisher was only for the Steam version so that they could get on Steam, meaning they self-published everywhere else and they're listed as the publisher everywhere else to match that.

Question. Who has control of the steam copies as to when how much the game sells for?

That's so sad since Steam probably moves the most copies for them. I really liked Expeditions: Conquistador and was hoping for an expansion, but I guess that's not going to happen.

IIRC, they were on Greenlight for a rather long (-ish) time without getting anywhere close to making it, so they made a deal with bitComposer.
Interesting fact - the Steam version available to Spanish speaking countries did not include the Spanish language option (at least not at first, don't know if that was fixed later on).
New weekly is Zen Studios pinball games. Good news is that their tables are usually quite interesting, the bad news is that it's Steam only.

Depending on your perspective, another bit of bad news might be that it's all pinball games ;-)
Interesting. That's most of their pinball tables. It's funny that I like their earlier tables better since they're not trying to be so video-gamey. I do prefer my pinball to more be arcade style, hence my preference for Pinball Arcade. That said, at that price point it sure is tempting. I may snag it all before the sale is through.

*throws the first stone* =P
Is this good? I like some good pinballing, but this seems like most of the tables have some "crazy video game stuff".

I don't know how to explain this, but I like when tables in Pinball games are realistic i. e. theoretically possible to be built in real life.
