wodah: I just had a pop up telling me to go buy Frostpunk 2. It was one of those banners or "charms" in the bottom-right of the screen.
Ice_Mage: Curious. I have the game on my wishlist and I haven't seen any such notification yet. Anyway, you can try the following:
1. Click the cogwheel in the top left and choose Settings.
2. Click Notifications on the left.
3. To the right of Announcements, select
-- twice so that you don't get any such notifications and they don't make a sound. If that's not it, then Wishlist is the only other relevant category there.
I don't understand where you're seeing this Cogwheel or Settings page in the GOG app.
I have a left-side menu tree that includes "GoG Galaxy", "GoG Store", "Games", and "Friends".
The entire rest of the app is taken up by scrolling game recommendation- Highlights, New Arrivals, Games For You, etc.
Nowhere do I see any settings or gear icons.
Maybe they changed the app to make it more "user-proof"?
Screw it, I'm just disabling it in Task Manager Startup then.
I can't believe a company that purports to be this gamer-friendly would stoop to hiding the controls to disable their own Windows pop-ups in the app, but here we are.
