tburger: Check this site:
https://www.supermemo.com/

Plenty of articles about learing, memorizing, forgeting etc. I've been using the software for years (mainly to learn vocabulary of foreign languages) but its functionality goes beyond that. They have freeware versions.
Looks interesting. Especially that first phrase I've seen "Want to remember everything you'll ever learn? Surrender to this algorithm." seems catchy.
oh! and COCONUT oil!!! GREAT for the memory, it even helps people with alzheimer's

vsr: Do not use aluminum dishes to cook food, if you have those. Just saying to OP and to everyone else.
Never thought about that. But still, no aluminum dishes in the kitchen. I remember when I was a child, we had plenty of those.
I'm late to the discussion, but if you can afford it, get an MRI. Have a radiologist look at it. Then they'll tell you if something is physiologically wrong.

I thought of asking what to lubricate with it, but then figured someone might get a wrong impression.

You can never be late to this particular discussion. I was heavily suggested to see neurologist. As for MRI, I actually have no idea how much it costs. If it's expensive, I can't really allow myself that. But worth checking.

Welll, I guess people seldom eat aluminium. They rather eat things like meat, fish, fruit and so on!!

drealmer7:
The whole thing with chemicals added to food was a very hot topic in recent years. After which it turned out that most of the food had an ingredient, titled as E621 or Monosodium Glutamate. Media described it as thing that could make even a poop tasty. People became very angry and paranoid about their food, so now you can see a big note "NO E621" on some products, especially meaty ones.

In the US, they are several thousand dollars, but insurance pays most of it. I paid roughly $2k for my son's CT+MRI+anesthesiology last year, so the total cost would have been $10k. But there are always ways to get things cheaper.

Many hospitals give you free access to their tests if you are an employee. So you could work a small job for few months and get it done.

There are many options here, but a benign brain tumor is a huge possibility (so far everyone I know with progressive memory problems had one [n=2]).

You should also stay clear of deodorant sprays and roll-on's containing aluminum salts. (Aluminum Chlorohydrate in the vast majority of anti perspirant products).

Was MRI for the whole body? A few thousand dollars is a lot. I quickly looked how it is here and found that making MRI image of head alone costs up to 200 euros.

Dessimu: Additives -
avatar
drealmer7: I do mean artificial additives, everything from "natural flavors" (which can contain up to 200 different chemical substances that are not natural at all, and also "beaver butt", which is natural, but, who wants to eat that?"

YES, beaver butt is a possible ingredient of "natural flavor"!!! believe it, or look it up, the documentation is there!!!

to

anything that is hard to pronounce, abbreviated, or isn't actually a real food (here in the US they put SOOOO much into food that is petroleum based or chemical-derived that should not be being consumed.)

OH! and make sure any dough/bread products you consume use "unbleached" flour. BLEACH is horrible for you/the brain, and a lot of food is bleached (here in the US.)

I highly recommend (to everyone out there!) to look up every single ingredient that you don't know what it is/means and seeing what it is. Even ketchup and mayonnaise can contain up to a dozen or more additives that are just not good for you.

I'll reiterate the amazing affects of RAW ACV (with the "mother".) Start this TODAY if you can!!!

Weed can also help with sleep patterns! However, it's a strong thing, and I wouldn't just start smoking blindly without talking to an experienced user. Send me a message if you want to talk about it more.

Complex music is better for the brain than non-complex music. So depending on the type of smooth jazz or classical, you might want to try something a bit different. Progressive metal has been shown to do amazing things for brain function!!! Its complex patterns and elaborate developments and stimulation are crazy things. I can turn you on to some instrumental stuff if you like. (Liquid Tension Experiment is a great place to start.)
We don't bleach food with sodium hydrochloride (househould bleach). But bleaching flour does remove many of the nutritional yield of wheat. And so does time.

We don't use beaver butt. We use the male territory-marking glandular spray called Castoreum. Equally gross. But tasty in all-natural yogurt!

And it's true that our artificial colors are made from the byproduct of burning crude oil. The color itself is often bad enough, but a few other chemicals like to seep in, too.

A natural, healthy diet is preferred if you can get it. Diet is the first and best medicine.

In the Oz of course. We met The Woodman, dismantled him and made dishes. Unfortunately they were aluminum. Then we took over Oz and named it Lithuania for some reason. True story

Was your memory good or normal before? For example, when you were younger/schoolkid.
