GeraltOfRivia_PL: Hey guys i am curious about how keen are you on 100%-ing your games

So far, i believe that i have only 100%-ed one game - Metal Gear Solid V the Phantom Pain. Even then, i have not collected everything there's in the game (for instance i haven't developed all weapons yet) but i have all 42 achievements and my completion rate shows 100%. Wasn't especially difficult, you just need to figure out how to exploit AI's weaknesses (for instance they don't hear you fultoning stuff from more than 30 metres, so if no enemy is inside of that range you can just fulton every single thing)

Meanwhile i have played over 600 hours of Witcher 3 (on Steam, but i recently bought a GOG copy as well) and i have only got 67% of all achievements. But i never played the game for the sake of achievements themselves. However, i think i have done all the quests and found all interesting stuff available... But i could very well be wrong.

Actually, now that i think of it, there's almost surely something in Toussaint i missed.

I dunno whether to define 100%-ing as getting all achievements or just collecting every single thing and listening to every conversation etc.

Anyway do you 100% your games or is that not your thing

I am kinda ashamed i have never 100%-ed a LEGO game
i'm going a bit off topic here but i do wonder if you pay attention to the other posts in the forum? A similar question was raised in the past 2 weeks and to have another continuation of the same question is a bit, you know.... personally i would be ashamed if i unknowingly would bother others with such a thing within a month, of course that is just me and with the gog forum crowd consisting of a small part of hardliners and a larger part of casualers similar minded topics can reach different crowds but still it might be worthwhile to consider
If the game is really good then I'll strive to 100% it. Except when you ask me to find all the collectibles. I hate that stuff. Ask me to kill a certain number of enemies or do a unique kill or something. Anything but finding those damn collectibles.
Depends on how much I enjoy the game, and how feasible it is. E.g. I chased and obtained 100% in Arkham Asylum&City and Mark of the Ninja. But not in GTA3&4 since, even though both are very enjoyable, it's a more annoying than anything to look for all those pigeons. Whereas chasing 100% in the former examples were actually fun.

Currently aiming for a 100% in Caesar 3
I'm about 0% keen on 100%-ing my games.

The one thing the Batman games did right or wrong, depending on your preference, is locking the Riddler boss fight behind collectibles. lol. I kind of hated it at first but his taunting really got to me. I had to fight him.
I care about important main quests and side quests in games.

Any unimportant stuff like grind-y missions, repetitive missions, UbiSoft side collect-a-thons - yeah, not really too interested in that stuff.

So, no - I do NOT 100% most games. Not even close.
I always disable achievements, leaderboards and all that. I simply have no interest in those things.

Check out MGS V i think it's a game that has managed to make 100%-ing meaningful. For instance there is a mission where you have to take out an arms dealer due to meet with another guy. On your first playthrough, your instict will tell you to kill him the second you encounter him and get away ASAP. But when you return to the mission later to complete the side objectives, you need to listen to all the conversations between these 2 people where it turns out they are actually in the business of building nukes. That makes you rethink they way you had looked on the mission

So you are not interested in multiplayer either?

With me if the game is Easy enough to 100% then I will do it. Majority of the time I do not even care about 100%ing games. I just want to complete the story and that is all.

The only thing I use achievements for especially on Steam is for progress tracking.
100% keen... until I'm able to overcome my OCD.

My most recent achievement in this regard was giving up on the off-road missions in Grand Theft Auto 3.

MGSV: Definitive is still backlogged in my Steam account.
I do need to get around to it.

Glad to see MGS 1 + 2 on GOG, as...I'm so out of the loop on this series.

I'd like to see MGS HD Collection (that was on PS3, X360, Vita) hit GOG also.

And of course, MGS4 needs to come here too.

EDIT:
Actually, MGS Legacy Collection (on PS3) coming to PC would be an even better idea than MGS HD Collection, as that has everything from OG Metal Gear up to MGS4 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid:_The_Legacy_Collection

From what I've read, a lot of active posters on this forum aren't interested in multiplayer.
I'm one of them. I have played with friends in the past a couple of times* - but I'd never play a game with strangers (with or without matchmaking).

*local multiplayer.
I actually care a lot more about many other aspects of social interaction with friends than about the 'excuse' for it (the game).

When I first started using Galaxy, I accidentally picked up some achievements and logged played time for games. Wish I could reset those but GOG wouldn't do it. Even if it's a weird request, it doesn't seem like it should be difficult.
It's a fool's errand and can really detract from one's enjoyment of the game - IMHO

I greatly enjoy multiplayer. I simply said that I have no interest in achievements or leaderboards.
