Have all performance issues been resolved or shall I stick with regular Witcher 3 for now? I don't want to download an 80gb only to find it plays like jank.

Irrelevant question.

Far more interesting, did you guys know that you can pet Roach by holding the Jump button next to it?

It's a NEXT GEN update. So if your PC is a potato I wouldn't expect much. If the machine has modern hardware it's probably going to be fine.

I was concern about this too, but so far the game works very well the only problem that I had is that I need to exit to the menu before exit to desktop, because the music keeps playing on the background even after the game sync with Galaxy.

PS: my current PC isn't very powerful and it runs very well, even increased the folliage density without problems.

@OP. Should I buy 2-ply or 3-ply toilet paper? Should I hang it paper facing front or fed from behind? Scented or non-scented? Recycled or non-recycled? Patterned or plain white?

Eh, W3: Complete (Next-Gen) has the Shader Compilation Problem. If they fix that problem to stop the insane amount of stutters on 1st run-throughs of areas for your GPU or if you update graphics card drivers - yeah, we'd be going & getting somewhere.

I have a RTX 3070 desktop PC (i7 10700KF; 16 GB RAM; RTX 3070; 1 TB SSD; 2 TB HDD; W10 x64) - and yeah, it runs like awful w/ RT On and DLSS On at 1080p (anywhere from 15-60fps). Runs better w/out RT - but, you still got the #ShaderStruggle, that can cause nasty stutters and/or framerate drops.

Most are probably better off running old W3 version w/ all DLC's or the newer W3: GOTY Edition, for now.

Why you are listing how many hard drives you have and their size as if that matters? And of course RT is not going to be fast. Why complain about RT performance when you are recommending a version that can't even do ray tracing? That makes no sense :)

If you head on over to the dedicated Witcher 3 forum (here at GOG no less) and read through the threads regarding the update/patch I'm sure there will be enough information for you to decide for yourself.

I'm not recommending W3: Next-Gen. It runs like trash on my 3070, with RT On or Off. Too much Shader Stutter Compilations issues.
