mistermumbles: I LOLed. ;) ... Am I wrong to assume it's also football-related?

jamyskis: Nope. Entirely sexual with a hint of traditional chauvinism. "Dortmund" is the name of a city, but written separately as "Dort Mund", it could be understood as "Mouth there".

"Going down" indeed :)
Well, that part I got, but the black writing on the yellow shirt also made me think of Borussia Dortmund. Coincidence maybe? *shrug*
On the games side? Fucking superb.

Everything else? Why, God, why?

I mean, I can't even change my avatar anymore, it changes EVERYWHERE but the forums. Nuke this garbage site and START OVER.

Not just me then. The avatar you see is old as fuck and I've changed it over 5 times now. I bet yours are old as well.
EDIT: Lol, I can even see your new avatar when I replied to you just now... This is BS, GOG.

For those missing the old style shelf, I've just included the option to use the old boxes and shelf in my script.

There might be a few bugs still and missing covers as it's only just been implemented and still kind of a beta, but it's getting there :)

Still working on changing the number of games per page though.
How do i get a refund for a game I just bought. i emailed support Friday afternoon and still havent heard anything back other than automated conformation emails.

You need to be patient. On weekends there are only very few people working. So it will take time. And depending on the timezone you are in, they got the email on Friday evening when almost everyone already went home.

It might be an intentional reference, but I think it's more on the "coincidental" side, as it seems to be made to resemble German town signs, which also happen to have black letters on a yellow background.
Nothing is stagnant, everything evolves or changes one way or another. As long as GOG stays DRM free I'm ok with more indie games and AAA releases. Just don't forget your retro gaming roots, GOG.

What moonshineshadow said, they're in Poland so they were probably already gone for the weekend by the time you emailed them on Friday. I had the same thing happen with some Pinatas from the sale & they replied and fixed it pretty early on the next Monday morning. Customer Support does not work on the weekends I think. Also, DO NOT download the game you're trying to get refunded...you can't get the refund if you do.

As for GOGs overall direction I'm pretty happy with it. Still getting plenty of old/oldish games and I love getting the newer/indie games here as well. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I actually wish they could get more movies, but I understand that's probably a really hard sell to movie studios.

I haven't used Galaxy (and probably never will since I'm stuck with dial-up), but I don't have any interest in achievements, multiplayer, or auto-patching...so no loss there. I've only used Chat once and it worked just fine. The 2 times I've had to deal with customer support went smoothely.

I do wish you could manually sort your wishlist but it's not a huge deal.

As for negatives, I wish gog mixes were not being fazed out seemingly (they sure aren't as easy to find anymore)...improving them would have been better to me. I've heard that the gog downloader (not galaxy) is also being fazed out...that wil annoy the hell out of me when it happens.

The worst thing to me is that gog seems to reject alot of indie games that look like they'd be a great fit here. I mean I don't want it to be the crappy indie game hell that steam has turned into but gog seems a little too strict in their selection process.

I also wish there was a release calander we could see, even if it wasn't 100% guaranteed correct or complete (the upcoming tab is kinda lacking).

Oh, and more lego games pls. That is all. :)

Ah, okay. That makes sense. I totally forgot about that. I haven't been back to Germany since I moved to the States in '98 so I'm bound to forget about some tidbits here and there.
I am just curious as to why I cannot find my older posts on the forums (because apparently I haven't posted in a while), and it's bothering me.

Because GOG removed the ability to search by nickname (apparently) for some unknown reason that is really really annoying. Using google and putting "site:www.gog.com <username>" probably works though because Google's search engine is on the upper side of pretty good. :)

This is borderline idiotic. I just posted yesterday or the other day and it says it still cannot find my posts. And using your method I still couldn't find what I wanted. Also is there a way to see what games you put on the community wishlist?

I don't understand how a forum can be this lackluster. Not being able to find one's posts. Blows my mind.
Seriously, how can a forum be this ancient in its layout and options?

Well, hopefully they are currently all busy with a total rework. The ForumWebsiteGalaxy-Triptichon really needs one...
