Breja: It would be most welcome. Unfortunately, a lot of people around here tend to go ape shit around here when such a feature is suggested, because apparently wanting the simple convenience of not having porn like Being a Dik (aka Uncanny Valley of the Sex Dolls) dumped into every search for "RPGs" makes one a "puritan" out to burn everyone's wank material.
Darvond: We have a tag system,
Breja: Which only allows you to choose what to search for, not what to exclude from search. That's not the same thing. And you have to use the tags every time for a new search. I'm never going to be interested in any porn game. They will only ever clutter my search. Would be much more convenient to be able to hide them with one click forever.
Not to mention the tags are kindy... wonky. I mean "great soundtrack"? The hell does that mean? Who decides which games have great soundtracks? Do all the other games have shit soundtracks? Why isn't there a tag for "great" anything else, like graphics or voice acting?
Hey, I get it. But there's no need to insult the best selling adult game in the Daz 3D world by calling it "Uncanny Valley Of The Sex Dolls." It's not my fault you have uncanny valley issues. We don't all suffer from that issue. Apparently people on the ASD are unaffected by it and given the popularity of these games worldwide, I suppose a lot of people have ASD on this planet. Interesting.
Also, we gotta get this out right now. These games, especially Being A DIK, deal with a lot of themes you would not necessarily expect in a "sex game." See, what you THINK you're getting is a sex game. But then things hit hard in the drama department. Two of the characters have to hide the fact that they're gay. One doesn't want to be shamed by his peers, the other has a very religious father. Another one of the characters risks her life dealing with shady characters to sell drugs in the dorm. There's a lot of deep shit that happens in these games.
In another game (which just finished) called Leap Of Faith, you have to talk a woman down from suicide. She jumps, but you are able to grab her. What porn have you ever seen that dealt with suicide and depression?
These aren't just sex games, there's a lot more to them than that. This is also why they're popular. A lot of people are admittedly reading for the stories, like myself. The sex is just a bonus.
