Leroux: If it's only about the reward games, you could just ask for a code in
this thread here. Your chances to get a copy of Spelunky over there are very good, especially with you being a known 'face' around here. ;)
Well... I kinda care, but not really. I'll probably give Spelunky a try if I get it, but Dreamfall is something I'd be more interested in the end, since I played the original game, The Longest Journey.
tinyE: I can help you spend on the promo because there is a lot of stuff I want. :P
Hahahahahaha...
DaCostaBR: Shadowrun: Hong Kong. Assuming here that you don't yet have Dragonfall, if you don't, get that instead, it's just US$3.
Admittedly the story isn't as good as Dragonfall, but it's still pretty good, and there were certain gameplay improvements, chief among them the revamped Matrix and hacking. Other than that, it's the same turn-based isometric RPG from before, that doesn't come around very often.
Do you really care about digital extras though? Digital soundtrack and art book? I ask because the deluxe edition is US$10,49 while the regular version with just the game, which some might argue is the most important part, costs just US$6,99. If I were you I'd get this version, and some other game that's really cheap, like Bloodrayne perhaps.
I backed the original Shadowrun KS and already played through both Returns and Dragonfall. I care about extras, but in all honesty I never really make any use of them. Since I own both earlier games on Steam and Gog, I think I'll get it over Steam (where I played the earlier games) and wait for a connect opportunity.
Breja: I had fun with
Outlaws. It shows it's age ofcourse, and sometimes has annoying puzzles that don't really fit the spaghetti western theme, but it's still very good, great music, stylish cut scenes. I just can't figure out why they totally ripped off Batman's villain Hugo Strange for one of the games bad guys. Still, he's voiced by John "Q" de Lancie so that's cool too.
Divinity: Dragon Commander is a strange mix. The RTS part mostly suck, and definately does not live up to the awesome promise of commanding your armies while also wrecking havok as a dragon with a jetpack. The devs bit off a little more than they could chew there. The turn based strategy part is ok, but still a little annoying in that one has to exploit some of it's elements in a sort of "meta" way. Where the game really shines is interacting with a wide variety of characters, mostly diplomats from various races, in first person mode and making important strategic and political decisions. The voice acting is good, decisions can be pretty tough as you try to balance the kind of empire you want to build wit maintaining all the races support, and there is plenty of humor to be found. If you like Terry Pratchett's Discworld sense of humor than that part alone should make the game worth it to you. You can set the game on "easy" and just enjoy the diaologue and characters. At 85% off it's a pretty good deal.
However, if all you want is Spelunky, I can set you up with a code right now :)
Outlaws is one that makes me wish XL Engine was ready already. XD Dragon Commander interests me in that it's different from other Divinity games. I know it's a good deal, but I fear it may not be something I'll play soon enough.
Thanks for the Spelunky offer. But I think I'll get a copy from gog.com soon enough. :)
