How much money do you have ?
What don't you understand? What specifically would you play?
So for example I found a computer from Best Buy for 1200 bucks and it said Intel 7 7700 and graphics card 1070 yet a game offered on steam is called blossom tales it’s lkke old school Zelda and the specs on the game say intel 3250 ? Doesn’t even day intel 5 6 or 7 so that’s confusing and the graphics card for the game is like 500 so I assume the computer I found would work simply because the number of 1070 is higher 500 which the game requires . Specs like that which are not worded the same or worded slightly different

Basically, Best Buy has listed the model number of the processor: it's an Intel Core i7 7700. That's more than enough to play a game requiring a 3250. Same idea with the graphics card (so your assumption would be correct).

The only issue you may run into is with older games, as they may not play nice with your operating system*. A pre-built like you'd get at Best buy is going to come with Windows 10, and there are games on GOG, at least, that won't run on it. Not a lot though. For the most part, you should be able to play pretty much whatever you like.

*Disclaimer: there are some older games that have issues with multi core processors, but you're not going to be able to avoid that if you buy a new rig, as they all have multi cores now.

You can play almost anything (at ultra or very high detail) on an Intel i7 7700K + a GTX 1070, including very demanding and recently released games. Make sure it also has 16GB of RAM, though 8GB should also be fine as a start. You will need to upgrade to 16GB in the near future though. A large SSD or a combination of a smaller SSD + a large regular hard disk would also be a benefit.

If you can give us a link to the PC you're interested in, I'm sure a lot of people can provide suggestions or guide you to better alternatives.

Yea unless you know the basics about computers it can be confusing. So don't be afraid to ask questions. Now, for the most part good gamers will ask you how much your looking to spend on a computer. You also need to give them any details like if you need the monitor, keyboard, etc along with it. Many already have such things and just buy the basic computer without the accessories. Most in-store computers usually come with the monitor, etc.

When it comes to the video cards and graphics required, you can't go with just numbers. Each video card type and company is different and names their cards different. For the most part, a higher card number means its newer and usually better. Like if a video card model is 800, and current cards are 960's, usually the current cards are newer in design and of course usually higher in price (but not sometimes).

With Intel processor chips, the general rule is they have 3 timers, I3 chips, I5 chips, and I7 chips. The generation of the chip (how old it is) is the 2nd number after the type of chip. For instance, a I7-5775c is a 5 generation chip (older) than a I7-6800 6th generation chip. Again that doesn't mean its faster or better, but most of the time it does.

Just ask questions and do a little google searching/internet homework and you can learn the differences, etc.

Finally, also let us know just how much you do gaming, what type of games do you usually play (current high graphic new games, or older games that don't require a current top end gaming rig. Also if you do a lot of online multiplayer type gaming compared to solo pc gaming at home, etc. And do you use the computer for other things other than gaming.
Might it be this one?
Spec-wise it looks just fine. While my 2+-years-old pre-built PC is a different brand/manufacturer with a slighly slower i7 6700 CPU, I've had no trouble playing anything with it since I bought it. I am able to play practically all new stuff smoothly & maxed out @1080P. As others have mentioned, some older games may not like Win10/newer hardware though. From my 1000+ GOG games I'd say only a handful give me compatibility problems, but the vast majority runs just fine.

so this is the ad for a bestbuy computer I was wondering will work for most stream games. I am interested in a Steam link to play on my large TV anmd play retro style games that are new but retro look like old school Zelda and rpg and platformers. a game like Blossom tales which I don't think GOG even offers but steam does. Mostof the games I want are from Steam so keep that in mind. One game from GOD is Tresure Adventure Game.

I'll add a disclaimer! ;-)
If you have the budget, I'd say go for it. Apart from some older games which might not work due to comparability issues with the new hardware, I don't expect you'll have any problems playing games on this rig, even yet unreleased ones, for the next couple of years at least.
