Licurg: NEARING 3000 VOTES !!!
Darvond: Is it okay if I question the legitimacy of the votes?
We've had several much more fondly regarded games that have barely broken the 1000 barrier.
The gamergaters are directing each other to the site to vote for it. It's all over Twitter and Reddit, etc. "Go teach those SJW's a lesson! Make GOG pro-GG!" etc. GOG in general is being overrun by these reactionaries. You can see it throughout the forum and this thread. They're even corrupting select game reviews on the site as well—not a trivial matter. Even more troubling is that GOG doesn't seem to care.
It's incredibly ironic and hypocritical to say "it's just a game/keep your politics out of my game," when both this game's devs' and its fans' explicitly stated purpose is to make and effect some sort of (flimsy and tired) social/political statement.
Support for this game has little to do with the game itself, so yeah, questioning the legitimacy of those votes is entirely...legitimate. Much the same way that gamergate itself has little to nothing to do with "ethics in gaming journalism," actually.
