richlind33: It really doesn't. There was no cursing involved. I merely criticized the man for his blatant hypocrisy. If he honestly thinks that's abusive, he might benefit from a psyche evaluation.
BlackThorny: You fail to acknowledge his plea to stop the abuse. It doesn't matter what you think about it, the plain fact was he considered it abuse, the reason why it affects him cannot be relevant when another person is clearly in distress.
Then again, the ones abusing never presented any other then misogyny, and self justification. How big of them.
Alaric, I respect your opinion but I cannot justify it. You cannot just abide by rules, you must have common sense and morality.
Even by your own terms, what isn't in the rules doesn't matter - news flash, rules matter but actions matter more.
Consider a poor man stealing a loaf of bread the same evil as a Billioner committing tax fraud? As long as both don't get caught...
I am sorry we cannot agree, but I fully stand by my view. Laws are entirely meaningless if they are applied differently to different people. You should never suffer a harsher punishment than me just because I have more money, or belong to a certain social class, or have committed a heroic act in the past.
Privilege (literally means "private law") should not exist. One law should apply equally to all.
I do agree that a law can be poorly thought out or unjust. Such laws should, of course, be changed. I don't actually believe that people should be punished for wearing sandals with socks as I showed in my earlier example. =) That was a joke. So long as we have laws, though, them's the breaks.
And remember, we are talking about a forum here. With forum rules and forum punishments, the hardest possible being a ban. So if you are worried about punishing a hungry child thief, don't.
