Ancient-Red-Dragon: Also, this thread title is very misleading, inaccurate, and inappropriate because bad news price hike scams like this are frequently posted in it, and have been for years.

This thread should be officially renamed to something like: "Bad News: Price Hike Scams."
avatar
Cavalary: Read the OP to see why it's titled the way it is, seeing as "Good News" was how GOG announced dropping their one-world-one-price principle. So initially there was a thread that followed the gradual introduction of regional pricing to GOG games, and then its successor was this one that tracked all price changes. Hence, saying "Good News" for bad news is precisely the point.
Sorry for the late comment on this. Thanks for the context. Good to know. It's a nice piece of dry humour. It wasn't explicitly stated in the OP though (even though it was humorous). Which is fine, it obviously wasn't required for GOG users at the time, but it's not super-clear for anyone who signed up post-April 2015. Thanks again for the history lesson!

Response to the issue: "Upon consultation I can confirm that the lowest price is not calculated based on the saved %, but the lowest amount is actually stored on our side. In case of Arkanoid, there must have been a temporary bug (connected with a promo setup), which we are sadly unable to reproduce at this time"

So first make the prices explode, then bring them back down just over a month later, incidentally the amount of time that's tracked by the lowest price notice. Heh...

Was this a database error, some electronic blip, that reverted prices for a short time?
Because I don't see these changes anymore...

Talisman is free again
TopWare's games are back to their raised prices...
Regarding zero for Talisman, it's not a real change. It happens sometime that API returns zero as a price, but it cannot be seen on a game page and it's impossible to purchase a game for such price. I just had no time to check this yesterday, but it seems it was one of those "fake" changes.

What is surprising for me, is that all of these changes are not real (?)! I don't know, how it works. I always collect the prices the same way and use the same API fields...

Could it be that you witnessed a database rollback on GOG's side? That they had to load a backup from like a month ago (with old/ outdated prices)? Because those price changes mirrored every previous price reduction (or increase) you documented before.
What about checking game prices? I already checked and a lot of games that are in the store have better price tags in other stores like Steam, Epic Games store, and even Ubisoft store. I thing gog needs to make prices fair for all countries.
