brainvision: also a game from 2008 could be bought on sale and never activated because maybe you already have it, so you could sell the key.
GOG doesn't have keys by default. People who buy games for themselves have them automatically added to their accounts. The refund window for unintended purchases is short; it's not possible to trade away an old purchase you discovered during spring cleaning. brainvision: The main issue for me is that I still think games cost too much, IMO. I know that there are hundreds of reason for that: it's just that I cannot afford those prices. That's why I search for cheaper prices (as long as it's safe enough; obiously I would prefer to spend more money and not losing less :D ).
Then pirate. "Copyright" means only entities you authorize to distribute your IP can distribute it, everything else is piracy. "Unauthorized resellers" are scammers who want your money for a glorified torrent. When you pay G2A, you're still getting a pirated game, you're just additionally losing money to a criminal rather than getting it for free like normal pirates do.
