I found a lot of good offers in the QuakeCon Sale email that I received including 'Flash Sale' offers.
I have around €50 worth of games lined up that I do not have at GOG. I already have all the games over at Steam and I find out that I have all the games at Steam already. Prior when the GOG.com Downloader still worked the I wouldn't have cared that I had the game at Steam, I would just have looked at the great offer and thought what a nice opportunity to support GOG and DRM FREE. But since GOG refuse to supply good DRM FREE 'backup files' download options for my games then I simply can not be bothered to have to do the downloads and if all that GOG wants me to do is to use the Galaxy Client for install and refuse to supply me with as good and easy 'backup file' download options of my purchases as the GOG.com Downloader gave me then why the hell should I bother buying from GOG when I already have a Steam installer ?
I am writing this here not because I think that GOG for a moment will care to change this but because I might as well continue to make this a public debate since GOG support can't change it and GOG corporate won't change it (they have been told repeatedly by me and others that it simply won't do with the present lack of good download options after retiring the GOG.com Downloader !)
I also repeatedly told them to build in as good or better DRM FREE 'backup file' download options via the Galaxy Client but they do not care ! (I told them to build in a list of my purchases with a download all 'backup files' button next to each game purchase )
