I felt like maybe I was tunneling too hard on adalia and tried to see things from his POV. Then I looked at Joe and he had just the one RVS vote in the same post where he said "town voting is ridiculously important!!!1!" So...I don't think I said "adalia made me cop Joe" - adalia made me read Joe, and he looked pretty appealing at the time, again for the same reasons 5 people dogpiled his wagon, town or otherwise.

I backed off that one because I thought it might become too easy a pattern to spot, since XO isn't exactly a commonly occurring letter combo in English. I suppose I could have flipped it around and talked about oxidation quite a lot, but no one would buy that, prolly.

There are also a few "come at me" moments where I noted if ZFR was vig and tried to town-clear by killing me he would be sorely disappointed (that one was mostly true with a hint of teasing paranoid/bulletproof), and the "trade myself 1-1 for scum." I was willing to gamble cristi was town in part because I had my role claim to at least fall back on if she did flip scum. Admittedly claiming cop after just flipping a fake deputy claim wouldn't have been the stroooongest bargaining position, but I'd at least have info to share. /Shrug.


In the useless data realm, I assumed I talked about cops way more than anyone else (apparently 1 use of the word cop every 1.3 posts), which I am technically highest though Lift was also an outlier on the high side in 2nd at 1 cop per 1.56 posts, and ZFR on the low end has yet to use the word “cop” at all in any post.

I will be interested to see post-game if the scum team is the players (besides myself, of course, being the cop intentionally talking about cops for amusement) who either can't talk about cops at all (SPF, ZFR) or can't not talk about them (Lift, maybe Damn). But it's probably not quite that simple.

I'll answer questions but I spent like 40 minutes digging through old posts (the chart didn't take long - counting that separate) just because you're being a grumpy butt. Ultimately it's just a game. If you want to be pissed, or pretend to be pissed for whatever reason, that's on you I guess.


I considered that. Though I also think there is a really strategy in acting a bit scummy intentionally with a PR and trusting the PR to bail you out. If you're 1-shot, worst case you claim, draw a block and get NKed. Not actually the worst outcome for a role that generally has negative utility.

That (intentionally having a bit of scum) was a big part of my strat coming in, it just blew up quickly because new (to me) players were reading things I intended as town as scummy and vice versa. Since being forced to claim early would be bad I just kinda shifted back to being myself, mostly.

Which is partly why I claimed - if there's a role cop, I kinda think I was probably copped last night, and just the number of slots a cop could be hiding in was fewer after your "claim" (though WIFOMable, perhaps) and Trent's "No PM" reveal. To be clear, i don't think I was copped for flavor reasons, but I was doing enough mussing about I would certainly have been interested in my slot from a scum POV. I'll be very curious to read scum chat. I teased bulletproof again at some point I think, and a few other reasons.

Anyway, the chance I'd reveal just to be protecting a GF is why I didn't claim sooner even though the game is starting to frak up my RL. I've been telling Poppy since before D3 opened I was probably going to have to claim today.

I just don't see it with his claim. I think his action is legit, since he would have had to worry about tracking presumably as much as copping, and probably his name claim. It's not to say he would be the first GF to go out hunting, but...usually the point of a GF is to remain hidden until they have to act rather than just coughed up to a watcher or tracker when the full team is still healthy (certainly they could have been -ZFR).

And for what it's worth, I think the flavor, while problematic, is also probably legit.

This is one of the downsides to having a game with this much flavor - it's really hard for players to tell where significance and insignificance end...but I mean, clearly some of the flavor here has meaning.

I don't think Trent could have won the asylum game anyway, but I definitely regretted Krypsyn's box, as hilarious as it seemed in the moment. That was definitely a flavour frak up.
