Telika: so it's far far from "everybody believe joe is town tracker".
I meant that at the time of the claim, people believed the claim to be true.
It doesn't mean that people believe the claim right now.
Catventurer: You may as well say what everyone is probably thinking:
There is no tracker in this game.
yogsloth: Well, it seems unlikely, yes.
However.
This is GOG, and one thing that is resolutely true about GOG mafia is we design
absurdly over-complicated, role-heavy setups.
Four players have died, and those four players all had top-tier roles.
A dead godfather necessitates a cop, so that's good to go. A dead mason necessitates another mason, so that's in.
I have to concede it is possible Mafia has got a roleblocker and a role cop, and every townie has something and this is just a straight role madness game.
It should be obvious that Mafia doesn't have a roleblocker.
Scene role claimed bodyguard.
Alto role claimed cop.
It's given that they're going to want Alto dead more than anyone else. If they can't kill Alto, they're going to want to keep him from investigating.
If they had a roleblocker, they would have blocked Scene and killed Alto directly so as to never have to deal with Alto again with the added bonus of Scene having to convince everyone that the reason he's alive is because he was blocked. If they had blocked Scene on night one and was not permitted to block him again on night two, mafia would have blocked Alto to keep him from investigating anyone.
However the situation we are in is that Scene is dead, and Alto appears to have successfully investigated someone.
This says that the mafia team has no roleblocker.
