Also I have been pushing for us to get wagons going early enough so that we can change course while we have time, if need be.....it sucks if Trent is town and I somewhat helped to out him, but that's how it is: we build wagons, people claim, we make a choice.

Sooner or later someone was going to feel the need to claim, and be outed if/when they did so.....that's how the game works.

Are you voting/suspecting me more because I did something you dislike and/or view as anti-town, or because you honestly suspect me?

But would a player so against claims in general(or so it seemed by what I read in his posts) be so quick to claim?

What are your thoughts on this?

I'll be waiting to see if anyone counter-claims the role or has something that disproves the claim.

@GH You feel uncomfortably pushy in this game. If nobody counterclaims, there is a chance of trent not lying. Maybe he was afraid of a quickhammer, not sure why he hurried. If I felt the spotlight I might also try and claim (and with so many players L-3 can turn quickly into a lynch) regardless of alignment.

Anyway something rubs me wrong about your play this time.

It's because of WHO did it that bothers me....Trent has been quite vocal about his dislike of claims AND giving scum too much info(via claims and such) in this game(and I think a few others as well)....and then he claims at L-3 and just does a full claim?

Either he is a frustrated town(it is possible) or a scum trying a clever ploy.....it's more likely trent is town, imo, but there's a chance he could be scum.

So now i'm faced with: Should I stick with my gut and keep my vote on Trent, or change course as well. And what if I change course and it turns out Trent was scum?

Hunter said he would put Trent at L-2 before going to sleep in couple of hours. Anyway, it was quite obvious where this was headed so I'm pretty sure he would have claimed eventually anyway.

His claim maybe bogus, obviously but I'll personally wait for a counter-claim before jumping to conclusions.

You, on the other hand straight up crossed it out. It bothers me how you take the exact thing you wanted as the sole reason to continue pushing the wagon. I'm pretty sure I picked something up from you earlier which makes me think you're Town but if I didn't this whole bit wouldn't have been a good look for you at all.

Fwiw, I overcompensate a lot in general....I was laid back and didn't try as much in prior games, and of late I have shifted to the other gear and am trying a lot more to help my team win.

That is what makes me curious....as in why didn't he hesitate at all(given his dislike of claims)?

Or why didn't he maybe make a more vague claim to better protect his role?

Maybe he's town and feeling a bit frustrated due to my pushing and other factors? I suppose it is possible.

So when you just did a full claim within a short time like that I found it to be a bit odd, to say the least, and it gave me pause....from some others the timing of the claim likely wouldn't have seemed as odd.

In a semi-open role madness where scum can fire blindly and still hit a role, trent's role doesn't strike me particularly as a priority to scum. Given the roles Lift posted, I can see ones they'd find much more important to go after.

You mean the possibility of Trent being town? I didn't cross it out.....to me it is still a possibility.

In fact his claim gave me some pause...like what if he's town.....but his disliking of claiming and him then claiming and going along with my plan so readily still wants me to keep my vote where it is.

Know how I said before some players have seeming set responses to some actions/posts? Well i've noted some of trent's, and his quick claim seems(to me) to set off a few alarm bells.

Am I wrong? Who knows.

I have never once said I dislike claims. I dislike role discussion on Day 1 and even on Day 2, it's pointless and just gives scum potential targets. If someone is going to be lynched they need to claim (and I felt I was going to be the lynch)

Why on earth would I make a vague claim, "Hey guys don't lynch me I have this super awesome role that can help Town and you'll regret lynching me if you do". That is something scum would do.

I saw the inevitable coming and I don't doubt for a minute that two more people were going to vote me and put me at L-1 and I want us to have as much time as we can to discuss me and moving on to actually finding scum. Me waiting until Later today or tomorrow hurts us more than helps us.

I dunno how to feel about this. Trent's claim seems premature and if he was really concerned about staying in the game and getting to use his power he shouldn't have volunteered it so easily. If he's scum, it'd be a pretty bold false claim at this point.

Sorry I missed this too. I hope your wife gets to feeling better! Sick wife and trouble with the kids, I don't miss those days (My kids are grown up and out of the house now)
