Lifthrasil: The net gain is one no-lynch Day. Think it from the time where Laser actively invited being shot. At that point he seemed convinced that he would be the lynch anyhow. Also, the prevalent opinion was that a shot would end the Day. So yes, Scum, put on the spot and resigned to being killed anyhow, WOULD gain something if they make Town waste a Day. That would explain Laser's wish to be shot instead of lynched.

That fits beautifully together with Laser's admission that 'scum would be stupid to ally themselves with me at this point'. That ONLY makes sense, if he will flip Scum. If he were Town - and therefore would flip Town - Scum would know that and might chose to support him, knowing that they could then say the next Day 'Yea. I had a feeling that he would be a mislynch'.

Add to that his strange comment about GR possibly being the Cop (I discussed this in post 492) still leads me to the conclusion that Laser either played very badly or is playing for Scum.

But I really don't understand why you read him as Town. For me the scum-tells are quite strong. That's not mere culture clash and also it isn't the first game he plays here. What makes you defend him?

Carradice: Cristine did not show up, IIRC. Lurked for most of the last game-day, then came in aggressively. She placed a vote on Games O’Rager. I would beg the question of whether she actually played with O’Rager before. If she knows Games, she ought to know that he actually loves writing and interacting, regardless of his alignment. This is the reason why I was buying his RL excuse for being mostly absent on Day 1 (not the case with Lift but I was ready to buy it as well). But Cristine went after him. That seemed a tad opportunistic. She bought Walkins’s and Scenes’s logic, no questions posed. She defused Zeffer’s drive against Walkins, and that is when Walkins really saved his skin on Day one, and Mike the Fish bought lottery tickets for a whole lote of round holes. Now that even Scenes retracted on his prior judgment of Walkins, what will her approach be? Actually, if she is scum, she does not need to be scum with any of them at all. She might have helped Scenes/Walkins survive in order to maintain a distraction, both for the lunch invites and for the (admittedly limited by the number of real game turns) Cop investigative actions. All this is speculative, of course, and she might have good reasons for his actions. Surely she will eventually appear and explain, and even share her views. Did they change? Was O’Rager a placeholder vote, waiting for the proper time to go after someone else?

Carradice: Zeffer Briilliant player, will be missed. Very nice to have around, too. He was after Walkins, then he got stopped in his tracks by Cristine, who played with the notion of him having a bias against Lazy. When he changed his vote, that bandwagon lost its momentum. Now people has jumped on that same bandwagon. Is it too wild to speculate that he might be vocally considering the merits of said bandwagon, possibly jumping in? I think, that with Zeffer on board, it might have been successful. The question her is: Is it too soon for the interest of the Mob to have Walkins burned? Would not he be more useful as a decoy in the late game?

cristigale: Carradice may be somewhat OMGUS on my part, I get the feeling he is trying to shade me.

On Sunday morning, when I started catching up with the thread, the thread was still open. By the time I read up enough to know that lynch occurred, Joe had already locked the thread. Today (D2), Carradice said I was lurking most of the last game day

lonzi: Townread on cristigale strengthened quite a bit after her recent posts, haven't had time to go over her thoughts in depth but looks like her reads closely mirror mine - I had a big post in draft that I was working on between bits of work going over my read on GameRanger and Lift, singled those two out in particular as I think my read on them differs from the rest of thread. And I just lost the draft because I got excited when I saw cristi coming out with the same reads as me and clicked new post, if anyone knows of a way to recover it please let me know otherwise I'll write it up again.

Microfish_1: Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to recover it. Your best bet is to copy/paste it before posting (in case GOG eats a post, as has been known to happen) or to write your message in a 3rd-party word processor (wordpad, openoffice, etc) and copy/paste it into GOG when you go to post it.

GameRager: I am guessing you don't mean wait until the exact last minute to change course(if Pook[in]a doesn]t shoot anyone).....so the last day? What if not enough are on to achieve a lynch?

Well maybe last day would work if we all had 24 or so hours....not 12 or less(just my two cents).

GameRager: The reason I don't bring it up(what it is) is that I don't want to spread some personal business of mine around the forum. If you want to know my IRL issues I might tell you via PM, but I don't want to discuss what is bothering me atm in a public thread.

GameRager: I'm not too good at those aspects(for various reasons), though I try my best regardless & will try to work as best I can on such in the future.

GameRager: With all my prior games, people should know by now to not pin me to any side due to how they think each side would act in each game type.

GameRager: I also play to win to the best of my ability, but I also like to have fun and that is a slightly bigger motivation for me....I am not trying to "ruin the games" on purpose, if you truly think that.

GameRager: I defend it so much because people like to make "pokes" at it from time to time instead of just adapting to how I play and gauging me accordingly in each game.

GameRager: The Laser vote? All I will say is if you aren't convinced yet then it's likely nothing will convince you so you are free to believe what you will.
