GameRager: Isn't random voting a thing in most or at least a good number of early games(first "day" or so)?

If so I don't see what's so suspicious about it. :\
avatar
trentonlf: At the start of a game during RVS (Random Vote Stage) there’s probably nothing wrong with using random.org to pick someone for a vote. Me personally I would say don’t use it beyond the first vote someone places or anytime RVS is really over.
Good advice to keep in mind. Thanks.

SirPrimalform: It's kind of a running joke about ZFR's love of random.org. That and some people think that using a dice roll in RVS rather than coming up with a joke reason for voting is somehow evasive. I'm not that bothered personally, my vote and comments regarding random voting are RVS in themselves.
Fair enough

blotunga: Actually I didn't want to admit at first, but I used random to pick you. Does that make you feel better?
Yes.

ZFR: I'll quote my physics teacher: "What's this nonsense?".
Random.org random name picker requires an account at $5/month(year?). it wasn't worth it, so i used an alternate.

avatar
PookaMustard: This be the first time I see nmillar play since...uhhh, #57? That's the Captain Sapphire game, right?
Before 57, that was my first game and nmillar wasn't there. :(

avatar
SirPrimalform: Wow, it's like ZFR's random.org votes but worse!
Why worse? :P

avatar
nmillar: Yeah, maybe subtract around 40 and you'll be there or thereabouts. My normal strategy is out the window already, as Robbeasy isn't playing ...
I don't know who Robeasy is. sobs.

Come One, come all--Strong coffee for sale! This'll put hair on your chest, float a horseshoe, kill mold, weeds, and spiders. Only $20 a cup! You can use it to seal your wagon prior to floating across the river. You can use it to drown the taste of cheap coffee. Non-alcoholic sugar is available as well. Real Men™ are dairy-free-coffee drinkers.
Only--make sure to button down your holsters and pockets before coming over here. You'll be so enthralled with the coffee you might not pay close enough attention to keep your extry money on your person. It's a side-effect of just how good this stuff tastes.

What? No. Putting aside the fact that you can just assign numbers to names, randomizing lists of anything on random.org is free

https://www.random.org/lists/
The paid service is if you want random.org to conduct the draw for you. So it's like a "certified" draw which you can prove was unbiased.

Because it's like some kind of cheap knockoff of random.org!

You don't know Robert Bartholomew Easy!?

Next you'll tell me you don't know RObert DZAowney JUnior either.

I wondered that at first and why agent had so many more points than me. But then I realised it's the post numbers the votes were cast in and that actually I'm winning.

Ah. I was looking at https://www.random.org/faq/#Q3.1

Thanks for the info!

1) I see. I prefer the terms "frugal" and "inexpensive"
2) No
3) I feel like I should, and I think I get the basename, but don't recognize the rest, will look more later.
4) AH! Thank you! I was wondering and quite puzzled.

Hmm, if I move my vote to you I'll lose my top spot. Nice try Carr, I'm onto you! ¬_¬

Now now my dear ZFR, they don't give the gold medal to the first person to attempt something.

That would be the modern nobel prizes....har har.

I think agent and SPF have gone off the deep end as I don’t think I’ve been in a game before where people are vying for the honor of being Prettiest Princess....

Oh no, I'm winning because I have the earliest vote in the game. Prettiest Princess is the one with the most votes. I'm ok with being both but I only care about the first one.
After the first accusations being thrown around and the customary ritual gun-pointing at random people, not much else happens. agent changes the direction of his gun and is now training his gun on SPF. But other than that things go as usual. Stephen invites people to change his mind about stuff any sensible American will agree with anyhow. Lex is trying to peddle his health products and Micro is selling weapons-grade coffee. All the while someone holds a talk on the stage that no one really pays attention to. But where are those pesky Pacifists hiding? Can they really be in here, with all these Real Men (TM)? Wouldn't they wither and die in this testosterone-rich environment? Stay tuned and find out in the next Coffee Break!
