This was interesting to follow, especially near the end. As someone that knows exactly nothing about pokemon, and had no interest in looking things up, the pokemon lingo and flavour flew over my head, plus felt quite distracting when trying to figure out what the Night-actions results, alignments and actual roles were. But probs to JoeSapphire for investing the time and effort to do it; he sure seemed to enjoy it, and hopefully the players did too.
GG Mafia for exploiting Town's weaknesses, and winning in spite losing a member early on. Though, if I may say so, it seemed to me that manipulating supplementscene wasn't all that hard due to his proneness to not only tunnel hard but also not listen to others if they disagree with him.
And as someone that usually roots for Town as an observer, Vitek fought really hard to get people to see who the Mafia are. Shame, you should have listened to him, flubbucket's scum-tells started as early as post #568, and the way he kept responding to Vitek after that just sealed it.
SirPrimalform: [...] Uh... Distractor (moi)? [...]
Are you sure about that? Your PM reads to me like you were a VT [emphasis added]:
ABILITIES: Thunderbolt is a powerful, accurate move that has a decent chance to leave the enemy unable to fight back. Unfortunately you can't get out of the cage they lock you in, so you won't get a chance to use it.
Plus, it's not among the possible roles JoeSapphire had posted in the sign-up thread.
supplementscene: [...] While Trent/Vitek read right they weren't persuasive enough in their analysis to win me over.
When you're dead-set that your own read of the game state is the right one, no analysis will ever win you over, no matter how good it is. The only reason you were
persuaded by LIfthrasil's and flubbucket's
arguments is that they re-enforced your own scum-read of Vitek, and not because they were more persuasive than those of Vitek or trentonlf. I hope that with time and experience you'll learn to be open to others' takes, and re-evaluate your own reads.
JMO as an observer, and co-player in future games.
