Ok, I have a few thoughts after catching up. Good lord did you guys hit a whirlwind at the end here.
Robbeasy: Haven't fully caught up yet, but going to answer this here...
My reading of Dedo's reason for thinking bookwyrm Town was completely wrong.
My PM does NOT say the word Loyalist either.
I won't reveal my reasons for thinking Bookwyrm is town - other people may give the same tell. Its definitely not a sure fire tell, but it does give some indication I think. @Ix - if me and dedo were scumbuddies, you really think we would come up with something like this on Day 1? If this is anything like a normal game, Mafia would not have had time to talk to each other yet.
I'm going to be blunt, why would you even say something like that? The lack of a reason in this case, while understandable, is extremely suspicious, it allows you to change the reasoning behind it at your whim. Very easy to hide mafia knowing who is town and who isn't behind a nebulous reason that you don't quite explain enough for us to lock down.
It just strikes me as odd, as there are other ways to express this without admitting that you have a reason, especially simply by not saying anything and expressing that you think that it's more newbie mistakes from a town player.
RWarehall: I'm still very suspicious of Krypsyn because of the way he has tried to completely minimize the value of that information. I cannot see how a rational person cannot see this. So I also believe he is scum.
Unvote Krypsyn Vote Ixamyakxim RWarehall: I'm voting for Ix for essentially the same reason I voted for Krypsyn. Given the information presented, I think its scummy for Ixam to be voting the way he is on such a thin narrow-minded premise while completely ignoring the ramifications of the town tell. Seriously, voting position is everything on day one as really the only concern? You overtook Krypsyn on my scum list. That was all.
As to mentioning Krypsyn, I was making the point I am still suspicious of him (my thoughts have not changed). In part because I fear, being one of the early people to recognize the tell possibly confirming me to many, I may not survive the night.
What the actual fuck?! Ok, I can buy this reasoning if you had mentioned Ix in that post in ANY capacity before you voted for him. But you didn't, you left a lack of reasoning then came back later and tried to talk it off. So Vote first, come back with a reason a day later after you looked for one. As far as voting position though? I honestly think that's more of an interesting reasoning then a tell (That I'm guessing being the Loyalist thing) that doesn't really potentially MEAN anything.
Bookwyrm627: Someone(s) is probably going to label this as excuses, and I can't blame them for that.
I thought my last post was just pointing out the obvious (just enough people haven't voted to finish dedo). Last game, there was a lot of talking (ranting) about how bad no lynch is for town, and I decided to check votes, see who hadn't voted yet, say the obvious, and that I will not be voting for dedo at this time. He looks too town for me to vote for him atm.
Well, it sounds like an excuse for me, mainly for the fact that pushes the time running out aspect of what we have. A push for a quickly built lynchwagon before time runs out and the Mafia gets a free kill, and it also makes the lynchwagon a lot harder to analyze come Day 2, which means that it sets the town back from making too much progress.
Ok, for now I'm going to
Unvote Dedoporno, I'm simply not sure enough to keep my vote on him, although the push for loyalist being a town read is a bit hard to completely believe, and I just am not completely convinced in general, the stalling wagon is surprising, and the speed that he and Rob came to Book's defense on a vote is...mind boggling. And let's face it, it wouldn't be the first time the town almost had a Day 1 Mafia lynch only to have someone else get dangled like a shiny object to distract us. But at the same time, he's simply not the most suspicious person here right now from my perspective and that needs to be addressed.
Now, as far as my vote....I'm going to have to
Vote RWarehall, since the vote and the subsequent reasoning behind it are really bothering me, and the fact that we had to wait for such a reasoning doesn't sit well with me.
As far as the loyalist thing, here's my $.02: I think the loyalist thing is probably something more confused with being loyal to a faction, since such thing in PMs would more likely be meaningless fluff then anyway to actually confirm someone or another as town, too easy for people to mention 'that word' randomly to try to confirm themselves as town (and insanely easy to accidentally cryptoclaim, why bother making it tempting enough?).
