jamyskis: Just for info: anyone who wants this DRM-free and doesn't mind getting it elsewhere can always pick it up from DotEmu for €4:

Edit: Ninja'd.

drmike: Looks like it's no longer on dotemu.

Is on Green Man though. Of course that just gives you a Steam key:

It's still available DRM-free on GamersGate or direct from Enlight:

Its amazing that they are still around . i did have dreams of owning the game on gamersgate before but got the steam version as it came out.
One thing regarding Gamersgate - their DRM-free releases are based on mandatory downloader, which is downloading files for installing game, and if I remember correctly - even if you decide to leave those files, they're not "operational", must be launched via downloader.

Probably it's not a problem for some people, but I personally don't like this solution - downloading installation file(s) which I can copy and use whenever I wish is for me the best solution.

Regarding game itself - yeah, I wish it would be released on GOG. I was really surprised after playing in demo version, that it's bringing so much fun, despite its rather humble presentation.

By the way - isn't that somehow interesting, that main heroine of action game (with some elements of strategy) is catholic saint living in medieval ages? That's definitelly not something we're seeing very often.

(offtop - Not that I'm unsatisfied with that, I've got a lot of respect to faith and entire life of Joan d'Arc, as well as many other medieval Saints)

No, there is a way around this so you can have the DRM version without the need to launch it the 'mandatory' downloader.

1. Download the GG downloader for the game.
2. Run the downloader and let it download the game.
3. When it gets to the stage where the installer has started up, ignore the installer (don't progress through the installation, just leave the installer waiting).
4. Open the task manager.
5. Go to the processes tab and find the downloader in the list and end the task.
6. Go back to the installer and exit it.
7. Go into the folder that the downloader downloaded the files into and check the installer works.
8. Backup the folder.
9. DRM version ready to play and backup without ever having to use the launcher.

I've done this and know it works :)
Maybe someday they will add this.

Thank you for this highly valuable contribution to this discussion!

Now, some cynics may say: "five (respectively seven and a half years) after the last comment was made (respectively a thread was created), is a little late for that", but I say: "there is no "too late", when it comes to valuable additions to old discussions".

Bravo! Well done.

Some people waited 10 years for something to be released here so I see no issue to point out that someone may buy it on GOG. No need to be cynical about it.
Yes, great game. I have it from retail, from many years back. Combines single player hack 'n' slash with strategy, but it's completely playable to beat with hack 'n' slash only, and that's how I had finished it!

So, it got released here?
Oh wait - no, it didn't.

If you want to make it known that you "may" buy it here, here's the place for that:

The game is DRM free on Gamersgate if you do not want to buy from steam. It's DRM free on steam as well.
