1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Tyrrhia: Or call it “Black Hole” so that you can decline any responsibility if something goes wrong. :P
LOL!!
So still having issues with SWAT 4 not working via Galaxy. My thinking is this may be an issue with the overlay as the game works fine if launched via the EXE or shortcut. When launched via Galaxy though it gets a critical error message.

Reported the issue here... http://mantis.gog.com/view.php?id=4843
Brand new pc, windows10, nice specs, downloaded galaxy and when I try and 'connect now' it says 'an error occured while loading page'. I had tried earlier and the download speed was at .1 so I dug out my physical copy and managed to load that. So my Witcher3 does show in galaxy but upon logging in it wont go any further. Its the correct password cause I just changed it. At a loss here

Have you turned off the intros? It worked for me.
I'd like to report a bug regarding Gog Galaxy's feature to watch trailer links, provided via YouTube. When I play a trailer via Gog Galaxy, even if I exit the program, or shut it in "show hidden icons bar", the audio is still running.
Windows 7 64bit, using the latest Gog Galaxy version.

Make sure if you have a firewall and/or antivirus package that they are not blocking GOG Galaxy from doing things or it wont work properly. If you have any more problems though, check the support section of the website for common problems and if you can't find a solution there, you may wish to file a support ticket with GOG support. Hope this helps.

No but there is still some issue preventing the game from functioning correctly via Galaxy so it needs to be looked into regardless.

---

Also Galaxy is failing to resume downloading after a connection drop in which the download ends up with the error "Installation Failed: Connection Problem". Clicking retry or even trying to verify the game does not work, have to restart Galaxy for it to continue.
Is it normal that I still can't access any kind of in-game overlay?

Do you have preview updates on? Some game work but most don't yet. Turn on preview updates and try to use shift + tab in game.

I'm pretty sure one of the blues stated that the checkbox doesn't actually work yet... the overlay is available as a preview update right now. I don't believe it has been rolled out as a regular update yet.

Regardless the overlay works with the Witcher 3, the Telltale games (most if not all), the new MOO and I think it works in games like Stardew Valley/Starbound. I can't remember off the top of my head though.

Hundreds of games work with the overlay however there is no public list available and it's not easy to make one that is useful because it can change every update and what worked before might not work now and what didn't work before might work now or partially work and it takes eons to test each game so not practical to make a reliable list.

It's in an ongoing state of improvement/flux, however the general trajectory is that more games work as it improves and any regressions are likely fixed in the next build or so if they're aware of the problems.

Some games you can try which are known to generally work most of the time:

Witcher 3
Divinity Original Sin
Prison Architect
Metro 2033
Metro Last Light
Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Most DirectX 9 or 11 games.

Enable preview channel, update the client and restart it.
Run a random game and hit shift-tab to activate it, you should see a spinning circle mouse cursor as it tries to load followed by the overlay popping up. If that doesn't happen at all, there's either a bug or an issue with the version of DirectX or OpenGL or whatever the game uses, or it is a game specific issue perhaps. Lot of variables.

If you encounter any problems with the overlay hanging or crashing a game or not coming up, mention it here and one of us might be able to help or to indicate if a bug report is worthy or not.

Note 1: For Witcher 3 and other games that have a Overlay DLC option in their settings in Galaxy, disable that. Sounds a bit odd, but the overlay option there is for the old GOG overlay which is replaced now and doesn't need that.

Note 2: Out of the box, most DOSbox / ScummVM games will not work, but some DOSbox games can be made to work if reconfigured to use the OpenGL renderer. Likewise, some games that use DirectX and don't work might work if the game supports OpenGL also and you switch to that or vice versa.

Hope this helps.
Just got an update, what did it do? Also how long has the overlay been in? I never noticed for some reason. What can you do in it so far?

The overlay only works officially on The Witcher 3 (make sure the appropriate Overlay-DLC is checked). The current preview update however makes it available to a whole bunch of other games as well. Haven't enabled the preview updates myself though and will keep waiting for 1.2 instead.

Not sure what the overlay does except showing pop up windows for unlocked achievements.
