Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

I'd be very grateful if you guys added separate entries for games who include other games as extras.
Especially the first Earth game and Broken Sword 1, since those are the "correct" versions.

Paul31286: I haven't been following the development for Galaxy the last few months, but I recently came back to it and noticed that there are a lot of failed updates in the download queue. I've attached a screenshot of how it looks.

If I start up Galaxy, there are about 20 or so games with a queued 0.0 MB update, and all of these will invariably fail. If I look at any of these games in my library, Galaxy tells me that the updates failed because I'm out of disk space, even though I've got more than 20GB of disk space available on my GOG drive. Verifying the installed files through Galaxy doesn't work, and neither does uninstalling and reinstalling the games.
To add to this, I just realized that this isn't just happening with updates. I can't actually install any games through Galaxy anymore, because it keeps telling me I'm out of disk space (which isn't true). Am I the only one having this problem?
I installed games in multiple hard drives (GOG Galaxy on C drive, Games are on E and I drives). Galaxy used to recognize all the games in E and I drives. But after Galaxy version 1.1.3, Galaxy stopped to recognize all the games. The only way to force Galaxy to recognize games was to uninstall Galaxy and install it again. After booting the computer, Galaxy stopped to recognize games again. So I need to reinstall Galaxy again. If I install new games manually, the only way to force Galaxy to recognize games is to reinstall Galaxy. Now after today's update, Galaxy stopped to recognize games even after reinstall games. I already sent this problem to Mantis. But they haven't fixed this issue yet.
Is there any way to choose the .exe file used by Galaxy when I click the "Play" button?
Like in the new Rise of the Triad. It has 32 and 64 bit exe files. For my computer it would be better to use the latter. I also need it to use the -dontforceminreqs fix for The Witcher 1.

Change first playtasks section in goggame-1207659244.info file in Rise of the Triad (2013) folder
{
"isPrimary" : true,
"type" : "FileTask",
"path" : "Binaries\\Win64\\ROTT.exe",
"workingDir" : "Binaries\\Win64"
},
or add as position in drop down menu:
{
"name" : "Rise of the Triad x64",
"type" : "FileTask",
"path" : "Binaries\\Win64\\ROTT.exe",
"workingDir" : "Binaries\\Win64",

In The Witcher

Liosan: Hi everyone,

unfortunately we made a small mistake with releasing the 1.1.3 update - we introduced the third top menu, "Social", which was not yet ready. We are releasing an udpated version of 1.1.3 without this unfinished menu. This problem is related only to Windows.

We found an issue with registering achievements in general - and corrected that problem in this release. The actual achievement is triggered by the game itself - so I can't really answer how it will work in this particular case. It's also up to the game is the achievement can be triggered retroactively.

Liosan
Thanks for the feature teaser, looking forward to any social bits that might come in the future. As for achievements, some of the ones I reported previously as not registering have subsequently fixed themselves on updating the client, and others have not. Being up to the game in some cases as you've suggested, the game in question is The Witcher 3, so hopefully the CDPR team can fix that. I don't personally care about achievements much but reported it as I know others do care. :) Looking at my Galaxy achievements for the game, only two have not granted. Munchkin for reaching level 35, and Woodland Spirit for completing that quest with the Lichen.

Anyone else complete those and not get granted the achievement?

I read on a forum (can't remember which), but the way to do it, it's a bit annoying, but if you want the achievements it's worth it.

The way it said was to go to the folder "C:\Users\*insert username here*\AppData\Local\GalaxyCommunicationService\46988339451789447\47746531845925190" and delete the file gameplay.db and run the Witcher. It is where all the achievement progresses are stored and it just creates a new file when the game is run. Some achievements will be unlocked straight away, but I know for the Munchkin especially, you need to level up to 35 again (hopefully you have the save). Oh, and you need to delete it each time you run it otherwise it doesn't work properly. The only way I've gotten them to unlock properly.

Hopefully this helps :)

It looks like instead of patching, Galaxy downloads the whole game for every new update. That means several GB of download for every newish game that had a small bugfix. Worse, it looks like it's uncompressed.

For example, right now, my computer is downloading a 2+ GB "patch" for Celestian Tales, a game whose full stand alone installer is only 980mb! It would be easier for me to erase the game and downbload the installer from scratch than to "patch" it with Galaxy.

That is really not a viable option for users with slow internet (like my current 250kb/s). Did I botch something on Galaxy, will this behaviour get fixed, or is it a permanent "feature"?

This is weird. Galaxy has patched my games properly, but it was a chore to wait for the 4gb patch for Pillars of Eternity to download :P

After redownloading Celestian Tales (a 2.6 Gb "patch" for a 980 Mb game...), it patched another game properly, but now it's back to downloading 9Gb for a 338 "Dreamfall Chapter" Patch. (when the installer for the whole game is only 5.8 Gb...)

It's a mess...

During patching process, Galaxy downloads only files that changed in the update (comparing local and online repository). To that end, if game is build in a way that all the resources are stored in a one big 10GB container file and a small resource of this container will be changed, the entire file is changed and thus will be re-downloaded by the Client. On the other hand, if game is built smartly without such juggernaut containers, Galaxy will be very effective during the auto updating.

Standalone installers that you speak of indeed are built with some heavy compression so that in some cases they might be smaller than update but this is not really a proper answer to the issue above - rather, delta patching is, so that the Client can operate (perform comparisions and updates) on chunks of the file, no matter their size.

Both of these features (compression AND delta patching) are planned for the Client and being worked on.
