WBGhiro: I just levelled my players up, got two lucky doubles, quite curious how the skills are going to affect the game

avatar
iippo: ps I am 95% certain am going vamps on the second season ;)
avatar
WBGhiro: My advice is: for starters only buy 1 vampire and 6 rerolls.

Further into the league you might want to buy another one, but I advise strongly against it.
what is this safety gear nonsense? its four vamps/ four rerolls since the beginning. Its not like i have patience to play norse team without block and frenzy :)

3 Vamps / 5 rerolls would probably be around optimal, but even that feels sort of watered down.

And yes, ive played the vamps a bit in single player and have idea how ti feels like getting our own team rip itself apart. The enternainment value for opponent must be limitless... Oh, also the ball carrier vamp that fails blood lust must feed on thrall before scoring is just golden. Had to move one square and the idiot rushed into crowd for some juice >.<

Anyways, few more norse matches before i get to stress those. I have to admit that the more ive played with norse, the more ive started to like them.

---

Oh and i totally want 5, perhaps six of them ON THE PITCH. Yes, i am aware of the blood lust statistics... The thing i have not made my mind on, is whether the pro or anti-pro route is better. I think ill need to learn that the hard way...

Any new word on Ninjada? Looks like I've got him in this week. I'd like some type of confirmation one way or the other regarding his status. If he's still in, I'll try to work on arranging the match but if he's done, then I'd like that resolved so we can get to the next week faster.

I am hoping he changes his mind, but atm its not looking very good.

If we dont get any word from him, we'll do whatever it is going to do with your and his match result the same time the last match finishes i think.

Anyway, just woke up and we are still considering the options.

Now would be good time to speak up if anyone has any ideas, questions, worries etc about this.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of waiting in limbo. It's one thing if life is intervening. It's another if you don't want to play anymore and you're making other people with their own issues/responsibilities wait around. Ninjada's actions certainly don't sound like someone who wants to keep going forward in the league, so I wish he'd confirm one way or the other.

but even in that case, whether his team is or isnt in the league, someone is going to have "free round". In any case ill proceed to my office's coffee break. We will try to make solve this as soon as possible in one way or the other - but just keeping in mind the future if something similiar will happen.
How about this
- If you arrange a match with your opponent and both of you show up but your opponent concedes at some point during the match the normal within-game concession rules apply.

- If somebody quits the league so no more match appointments have to be made with this person we use one of our "did not show up"-rules at the begin of the match day which means either:
"2. Opponent doesnt show up on agreed time:
If the match cannot be scheduled on another time, the admins will set the score manually 1-0 for the player that showed up originally. Unfortunately this counts mvp and tournament money as autowin. "
or
"3.Opponent cannot be contacted to arrange the match in the first place:
0-2 admin adjusted win for the one player who cannot contact his opponent in time and lets the admins know about this in advance. Posting on the forum if you cannot contact your opponent in about 4 days time is encouraged."

Not sure which of the both options would be fairer.

What do you think?

I'd say 1-0. If Ninjada doesn't come back, it becomes an unfair advantage to those team (including myself) who hadn't played him yet. 1-0 seems like it'd be the easiest way to keep balance. The fact that the team wouldn't play and get a"bye" means no injuries which is just as important as SSP's.

Hawk52: snip
All those pretty injuries i´ve dealt to you won´t have any impact at all. :(

I´ve just spoken to Ninjada again, and he stated he won´t be coming back. I would say just mark his games to a 1-0 autowin at the beginnings of the remaining matchdays and forget about the whole thing.
My match with Piranjade ended 1-1.

Got outmaneuvered by a sneaky gobo that put her in the lead, the draw came easier as I punched some goblins out, butt couldn't get a lead.
Not a really good game for me, but live and learn.
I just had my match against DodoGeo's Red Spiky Team and I'm happy to declare that this time none of my players died or was permanently injured. :-) (Not for lack of DodoGeo trying though.)
AND it was a draw 1-1.

Thanks again to all the people who motivated me not to quit. I really had fun tonight.
Well, I have one player miss next game and the MVP went to Bomber Dribblesnot, the Star Player I hired, but overall I'm happy. :D
My injury free season has come to a close.
Werecrow was taking out my players at an alarming rate & I just didn't have enough players left on the pitch to stop him scoring.
Game ended 1-1.

Now can anyone stop Iipp0 taking the crown?

This game was quite the challenge...he managed to knock out one Warrior and my Minotaur all in the first turn. I had to use my Apothecary so hte Minotaur will stay in the reserve box. Without it I dont think I could have won against the Kroxigor and other Lizards. I did suffer a death on my side later in the game, just a minor grunt though that bit the dust.

It was a lot of back and forth but after the first touchdown the weather changed to rain!! Oh how I hate it.
Fortunately it was prooven once more that 2 heads are better than one and my two headed beast man ran over the entire field to an equalizer while skinks and lizards suffered knock outs left and right. Even one mortal casualty that his apothecary had to patch up again fortunately.

Almost had a chance for a win as his skinks were having trouble picking up the ball. My two headed beast man attempted a pick up even with a chaos warrior next to him but he failed...and the ball fell right into the hands of the chaos warrior. Only that his positioning guaranteed he would not come far. A lizard attempted a blitz...rolled a push...and rerolled to a defender down. Yeahhh trhats how the game goes like sometimes.

Playing such a game against the strongest team of the league, I think I wasn't doing half bad there.
Apperantly his team has suffered as many casualties as until now, quite an achievement.

But yeah great game! I'd say one of the best I had so far in this league.
Any more opinions on setting the match at 0-1 for the people who'll have a free round because of Ninjada having left the league?
its going to make a few things a bit lopsided in my oppinion. WE are only at around the half time mark of the league now but this incident defenitly benefits the people now more than those Ninjada has already played against. On the other hand peopel now wont be able to get as much SPP as they could I guess.

Its a bit stupid...but I guess it cant be helped.
