MaxFulvus: My ratings for Goo'n and Johnny The Conflict Avoider :

Goo'n : 3
Johnny The Conflict Avoider : 2
I don't really care what point(s) would be awarded to Goo'n in the course of the event.
But I should address the above because this would ruin it for other Clowns too.

First, I agree with the scores given, but NOT for the reasons outlined.

Goo'n ate the jellies, while Johnny The Conflict Avoider got dragged off the course.
It was clear that both didn't roll a perfect score, so 1-3 is exactly what I would give them too.

The problem is…

MaxFulvus: My ratings for Goo'n and Johnny The Conflict Avoider :

Goo'n : 3 (to tickle and pinch people/ creatures nowadays is the best way to be arrested for sexual assault... and creating a mass brawl is not exactly the purpose of a clown, except if you are The Joker ! But the score takes into consideration the fact he saved his contender instead of letting him being crushed by hooligans).
Johnny The Conflict Avoider : 2 (being agree with everybody isn't possible, even for a clown).
The scorer above fails to grasp the criteria for judging:

avatar
Doc0075: In order to be accepted into clown school there are 5 activities to participate and hopefully do well in.
These are:

1 - Drive a comically small vehicle while balancing multiple objects.

You will be paired with another wannabe clown and how well you do in each event will be decided by a dice roll. You will not actually see what the dice score is though, just the actions that it brings about.

I will then choose two of your fellow trainee clowns at random to mark your performance from 1 - 5.
―――――――――― ―――――――――― ――――――――――
avatar
Doc0075: Post below if you want to join in and start thinking of the form your clown will take.
This entails the freedom of whatever we want our clown to be.

avatar
MaxFulvus: […] and creating a mass brawl is not exactly the purpose of a clown, except if you are The Joker !

(being agree with everybody isn't possible, even for a clown).
…Not what you personally think they should be.
• My score for Activity 1, Pairing 12.

Gobbo got the beat with +5.

Hansken scored +2.

One was able to juggle different musical genres with style. The other, collapsed Mr Whuffles and got several tickets.

Both receive my big applause, well done dudes!

I'm sorry if you are upset by my comments, it wasn't my will, but let me explain what you consider as judgments whereas they are my arguments for those bad scores :

From my point of view, Goo'n behaviour was out of context and created a "riot" in the audience which directly led to the fail of Johnny performance, who himself always wants to be agree and pleasant with everybody and seems to be unable to "choose a side".
The combinaison of those two personalities created a situation that couldn't fill the criterias of the performances.

But it's my own vision and you have to know that it doesn't involve ideologies, politics or moral behaviours.

Of course, Doc is free to intervene if he considers I didn't respect the rules !

That's the problem, you're making a story of your own and use it as "a basis".
Creating stories and flavour text is Doc's job, not yours.

Of course his narration is based on our descriptions. That's why he made the scenery that would befit our characters' entries. And you're scoring based on those, when there are clear criterias — that is the "performances" laid out to be based upon as per the OP.

Also, we all have individual dice rolls. How the whole thing got entangled are all flavour text.
But keep mashing it on our characters or others characters as you please. Like I said, the scores doesn't concern me - it's your misinterpretation that you keep on insisting.
FWIW, I think this is a rather important bit regarding how to score:
avatar
Doc0075: He may have messed up his task but in a very entertaining way so you might think it deserves a high score anyway.
So in the contest I scored, where I laughed out loud about something in the description, I gave it a 5.

Anyway, I think the above discussion is a good reason to only send scores to Doc by PM.

The beat sounds loud and proud as (51) BoomBox Kitty strolls towards his car, baseball cap on backwards and best friend Boom Box Buddy on his shoulder.

"Lying on the sofa
all curled and meek
but in my furry-fuzzy head
there's a rapping beat.
Gonna rap while I'm napping
and looking sweet
gonna rap while I'm padding
on the balls of my feet.

Nap it up
scratch it up
the knack is free
fur it up
purr it up
yes that's me.

The meanest cat-rapper you'll ever see.
Number one of the street-sound galaxy."

*Disclaimer - I didn't create the above rap, it is taken from the net (don't want to take credit for others work).

Snookums bops along to the beat and BB Kitty puts his boombox on the roof before climbing in.

The crowd look on as what was a plain mannequin (10) The Amazing Morpho! stands up and transforms into a portly and jolly clown. He detaches one of his arms and reattaches it to the top of his head where it proceeds to wave at everyone.
He makes his way to the waiting Mr Whuffles.

BoomBox Kitty drives awkwardly, his paws barely reaching the peddles when three familiar black cats fall from the sky.
His trusty pal Boom Box Buddy juggles them for him through the power of percussion and a conversation starts up.

Black cat one "Mew meow meow mewmew!"
I say, I keep falling from the sky when I should be eating fish!
BB Kitty "Mew nyan meow meow mew."
Yo, don't you stress, don't you pout
ladies be wanting fur-babies to feed, they're all about.

Black cat two "Purrrr mew mew meow."
I look simply divine don't you think?
BB Kitty "Purrr nya nya mewmewmew."
The grace of a jaguar and black as night
Al the tomcats be thinking, wow what a sight.

Black cat three "Wuff, rrrrrr wuff woof bowwow!"
I chased a Postman down the street today, he looked very confused.
BB Kitty "Hisss, meowmeow!"
Seriously man, go and see a shrink or something!

Morpho detaches several parts of his body and sticks them to the car roof to create more space inside. His driving erratic, he zigzags his way to where a dozen eggs are plummeting from above.
Having already stuck both his ears, one foot and his nose to the roof, he turns them all into hands and starts juggling the eggs.
Struggling to keep them all in the air, he frantically attaches more body parts to the roof, also turning them into hands. Up goes his tongue and both arms, but not before he plucks out his eyes and sticks them to the car roof as well.
While he may now have the juggling under control, the same cannot be said for his driving. Gripping the steering wheel with his teeth and with no eyes to see where he is going, he veers off course and crashes into a shadowy alcove at the end of the tent.
Though he can't see anyone, he feels a dark presence peering down at him with displeasure. He says "Mmmpff" apologetically.

I'm not making a story of my own. I invent or add nothing.
My previous explanation was clear enough.

And as Gogtrial34987 suggested, I will send my score to Doc by PM if I have to do it again. Transparency seems to be an error, both here or in Real Life !

So keep calm and enjoy the show ! It's not an exam. It's a game and a giveaway and to quote Doc : "Remember that at the end of the day this is done for a bit of fun and in my eyes everyone who participates is a winner."

Besides giving sound mental health advice, BoomBox Kitty's got style. Amazing.

What? Why? Doc's just waiting for the bickering to escalate so he can reveal his ultimate plot twist, a clown school turned into another fight club! Don't be fooled by his sweet promises of shed building!
ManaTee-Hee bobs her head along to BoomBox Kitty's music. She also peers in wonder at Morpho's feats of acrobatics and self-reconfiguration.

Hearing Goo'n's sticky feet signalling a returning to his seat, Radaggarb produces a whoopie cushion from his office prank kit and winks to the rest of the crowd wearing a mischievous grin.

~

Startled by the flatulent noise, Goo'n falls backwards off his seat, knocking over a food vendor's cart. Goo'n stands up, suddenly now fully visible to the crowd due to being covered head-to-toe in in pretzels, cotton candy and peanuts.

The crowd erupts in laughter.

Radaggarb waves at Goo'n from his own seat, honking his nose.

And here comes the Sharks to take a bite of the cookie. Here have a feast!
If you wish to get invovled, go engage. Taking cheapshots reeks of cowardice.

Or wait, Clown Show — so gotta seize the chance at exposure and attention eh? *claps*

And yeah, the "I won't ruin the event. yadda yadda" response.

But I'm speaking about the forum as whole, since certain personalities loves jabbing from the side, with the obvious intent to project and signal.
Well, gotta maintain that forum societal status huh? *shrug*

Keep fighting the good fight Hero! *roars the crowd*

MaxFulvus: I'm not making a story of my own. I invent or add nothing.
Isn't this what you said?

avatar
MaxFulvus: From my point of view, Goo'n behaviour was out of context and created a "riot" in the audience which directly led to the fail of Johnny performance, who himself always wants to be agree and pleasant with everybody and seems to be unable to "choose a side".

Contrary from what you perceived, Goo'ns' behavior was spot on. You'd know if you refer to my giveaway entry.

And getting pulled to the riot was unrelated to Johnny The Conflict Avoider's neutrality.
The "choosing side" Doc mentioned talks about the "miniature football hooligans" he was juggling:

avatar
Doc0075: Johnny gets his car up to a steady but in no way confrontational 30mph. He sweats profusely when three miniature football hooligans drop, all swearing that their team is the best and they will fight anyone that disagrees.
As Johnny juggles them he agrees with each one as they pass his head that their team is the best and all the others suck.
The yobs notice a punchup in the crowd and eagerly join in dragging Johnny along with them, who promptly faints in the presence of so much conflict.

So yes, you have your own version of the story.

avatar
MaxFulvus: The combinaison of those two personalities created a situation that couldn't fill the criterias of the performances.
See? you're blaming it on the very essence of the written characters themselves — their entry descriptions.

What do you suppose Doc to write? When Goo'n was a troublemaker from the get-go, and Johnny The Conflict Avoider was as the name suggests?

They have individual dice rolls, which happen to be infavorable - hence, the result.

It doesn't have anything to do with the odd pairing. That's not the basis for scores.
If Johnny The Conflict Avoider had a good dice roll, you could bet he wouldn't get caught in the commotion.

The result is all flavor text in accordance with the characters' backstory and the dice rolls.

All the your explainations did was reiterate the original issue:

avatar
MaxFulvus: Goo'n : 3 (to tickle and pinch people/ creatures nowadays is the best way to be arrested for sexual assault... and creating a mass brawl is not exactly the purpose of a clown, except if you are The Joker ! But the score takes into consideration the fact he saved his contender instead of letting him being crushed by hooligans).
Johnny The Conflict Avoider : 2 (being agree with everybody isn't possible, even for a clown).
You rate based on what you believed our Clowns should or should not be. And this type of rating would ruin it for other clowns as well.

That's why it has to be called out.

avatar
MaxFulvus: Transparency seems to be an error, both here or in Real Life !
Transparency is not the problem, it's what lies within it.
If anyone is in the right, they could stand their ground against criticism.

avatar
MaxFulvus: It's not an exam. It's a game and a giveaway […]
And even game have rules to comply. If it weren't so, let's just not read Doc's stories at all and just pull numbers off the air.

―――――――――― ―――――――――― ――――――――――
Anyway, even though I'm the one who made the "I won't ruin the event. yadda yadda response" remark, as much as I hate to admit it, disengaging would be the proper course of action, out of respect to the event — the host — and co-Clowners.
- except those who take cheapshots — these are lame anyway. (heh.)

So if anyone else wish to have free hits, goodluck and have fun.
But should you wish to step up your A-game, feel free to lecture me on PM.

EDIT: Fixed and added the missing "you believed" to this line:
"You rate based on what the our Clowns should or should not be."

So with the pairing they are working together instead of competing against each other?
I just wanted to congratulate Doc0075 on this giveaway. I have enjoyed reading Doc0075's stories about our characters (mine is La Lierre Incontournable) and they are awesome. Thanks for your time Doc0075 :-)
avatar
myconv: So with the pairing they are working together instead of competing against each other?
A lot of the time they will work independently of each other but sometimes it will be with or against each other. It depends on a combination of factors, dice roll, the information I have on the characters or even just my mood when I am doing the writeup.
