You know, I have a CD for Sim City 2000 around somewhere. I remember trying it a couple times and quitting because it was too hard. Might have to give it another go sometime.
Also, I have a bad feeling the title of the thread may attract some... unwanted users.

* It is very unlikely that I'll manage to properly play this in the very near future (I'm playing some three or four games right now, including a couple of RPGs) so feel free to give your free key to another person. Consider me if you really like me or can't find someone else, I suppose. Don't give up. It took me ages to learn how to properly play it, but once you figure it out, is very very easy. Just remember that you don't need to have 100% funding in all services right from start (except roads).

Start with a barebones city using light zoning and add services as you receive messages about citizens needs. Your first of each service (police, firefighters, hospital, education) doesn't even need full funding, just enough to keep the respective secretary satisfied.

Keep these tips in mind and with a little time and patience you'll have a good big city with a lot of funds. :)
