It's comments like this that get people called names and insulted. You totally ignore all the bullshit I've been subjected to, all the contradictions and provocation people did to deserve being spoken to like that.

No one would be getting called names and being insulted if they didn't provoke problems with me in the first place. I'm really not sure why you and others have their heads so far up their collective asses, that the darkness of your own ass has you blinded to reasons people get insulted and called names.

Instead you jump in the middle of an entire discussion already in progress, reading a couple of things here and there, not knowing what happened prior EVEN in another topic) then act like that person is just insulting people for no reason.

Look here numb nuts, (And you're getting called numb nuts because your reply is coming at me like I didn't get provoked or something and just defending these other retards)

I'll make this simple, I said I owned the game, so anyone that wants to provoke me by saying I don't' own the game and saying staff are right or whatever is a retard...plain and simple...Especially after they continue over and over nagging.

If someone says they own something, don't argue and say they don't multiple times. If you do then you're a retard for causing a problem...of course anyone that doesn't see that part of the conversation is going to say what you did but that's your fault for not reading through and understanding the whole situation.

When people provoke me, they're going to get called names..anyone who refuses to take a look at why I'm calling people names and just says I should't be doing that and just making it out like I'm doing it for no reason, is also going to get called names.

Since you insist on being all pedantic about "owning" it, etc, then you need to look at it anohter way:

The game MUST BE on your account to use the multiplayer in Galaxy.

This is IRREGARDLESS (yes I know, pedants :p ) of the "own it" issue.

So, NOT ONLY MUST YOU OWN IT (like you insist you do) - the game MUST *ALSO* be in the library of the account you are signing on in with in Galaxy.

Do you understand that second part?


Disclaimer: I don't use Galaxy and thus I really don't know what I'm talking about - I'm just guessing.

- you think you legally own the game on Gog.
- you actually don't and you cannot demand anything.

What happens if person A says they own something but everything else they say show they do not own it? Do you accept their first statement that they do or the rest of their statements that show they do not own it? Do you continue based on assumptions, or do you ask for clarifications?
It could be a language issue. It could be a definition issue. It could be a lot of things. Thus why when we are unsure of something, we ask for clarifications.

For Galaxy multiplayer to work, the game must be in the library of the person signed in on Galaxy. For me, that is the sign of owning a game. If I have a retail version of a game (UFO Aftershock for example), while I do own the game, it doesn't say a thing about whether or not I own it on GOG.

So, to drop all the discussion about you owning the game or not, is the game in the GOG library of user tx3000? A simple yes or no question that you should be able to answer.
Hell, I'll make it even simpler. Click here. Does this return a 403 forbidden or does it download the exe part of the installer?

And as I have said many times, as you own the game and get this error, contact support with proof of ownership (the receipt you got fvia email when you redeemed the gift, for example) and they will fix it. That's all you need to do.

JMich: Nope. That isn't how it works. I can pay amok to buy a car, but if amok doesn't have the right to sell me the car, or doesn't give me the proper paperwork, I do not legally own said car. The proper paperwork in this case is the game being in your library.
So, again, is the game in your library? If yes, you can use Galaxy's features. If not, you cannot use Galaxy's features.

P.S. Feel free to ask any lawyer if paying for something is enough to legally own that item.

P.P.S. According to you, you were gifted the game. Thus you didn't pay money for it, thus (according to you) you do not own the game.
By the way, are you on the market for a new car? I got a spare one I need to get rid of fast. it....ummm....it fell of the back of a truck....
