Ok, what the hell...? I leave the forum to it's own devices for 48 hours while I play Mass Effect 2, and I return to find that everyone has gone quite mad. GET A GRIP PEOPLE!!!

Weclock: Which isn't impossible, Activision holds the rights to some Quake games according to the wiki.
id were independent up until signing to Zenimax. Meaning that no publisher, save for Zenimax, holds any of their IP.

Navagon: id were independent up until signing to Zenimax. Meaning that no publisher, save for Zenimax, holds any of their IP.

I know. But what you're not grasping here is that it doesn't automatically mean that they own the rights to the game. In this case, they clearly don't. Just as Atari don't own the Unreal games and EA don't own the Half Life games. id were independent.
