In my opinion, it's a feature. Of all the games I'd purchased from GG, only one of them recrypts the exe immediately upon the setup.exe starting. However, copy is faster than delete. One other caveat, EA games (specifically The Sims 2/3) use a .hidden directive which hides the files from Gnome/KDE users in Linux (unless they turn on 'view hidden files'. I suspect that's what comes on the EA DVD and GG just dumps it into a directory. Must be that only evil hacker types use Linux, eh?

And those who use Linux are really those who know what's good for them or just those who want to have teh fun back into computing! I'm a total Gentoo nuts... have lost sleepless night just debugging stuff or making a perfect Linux all arounder system. And you never run out of things to do :P

I wouldn't call it a bad thing but for me being able to activate it on steam is an added bonus and that makes it good to know :)

Thus, it's best that such people know that this version cannot be added to Steam, unlike the retail version.

I couldn't find anything about DLCs, MP mode or such things (well, there was a graphic novel it seems if your pre-ordered from GameStop). The STEAM version does not use Steamworks, no achievements, no fancy stuff at all... yeah, I don't know what this is all about. It's weird for sure.

If you use the Steamworks API then you're expected to tie in Achievements, Leaderboards, etc... otherwise it wouldn't make any sense.
