lackoo1111: Sid Meier's Railroads!
compatibility issues
angstrom: What compatibility issues?
I think the compatibility issues were with disc copy protection rather than the game itself. That said, the game typically crashes to Desktop on Win 7 64-bit after about an hour of play (granted, this is on an AMD Athlon 64 machine with an AGP DirectX 10 card, so it might just be the machine)
However, I did notice that Civ3 doesn't work with win7-64 very well. The dialog boxes and text are too large or too small, and are not in appropriate positions. I have not tried it in XP compatibility mode.
Hmm, the product page for Civ3c says NOT for W7, so good luck if you have it.
As for Pirates and Railroads - neither mention Vista, either, so you're on your own with those. I think the only certainly Windows 7 compatible title was Civ 4, and that is only by virtue of being compatible with Vista.
Individual prices are:
Civ 3 Complete - $5
Pirates - $10
Railroads - $10
Civ 4 Complete - $40 (this seems high, I've seen it for $10 and $20 would be a reasonable non-sale price). The bundle itself only knocks $5 off the combined base prices.
I (personally) think for this group of games, $20 or $25 would've been more reasonable, especially since gamers are migrating from XP to 7 now.
