No, they do not have the soundtracks, which sucks because the first one has a brilliant ambient soundtrack by Trent Reznor (aka Nine Inch Nails). There are, however, methods for putting the soundtrack back in.

Thanks a lot! Works like a charm. Here's a high res texture mod along with normal mapping that can be chucked straight into the id1 folder. Works brilliantly with the dark places mod you linked to.
