Kabuto:

Second link fixed: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/06/19/whats-going-on-with-ghostbusters/
Well I bought Ghostbusters when it first came out on the PC (well, had it gifted over Steam as it was still restricted back then) and to be honest, it was well worth the money. Yes, there was one game stopping bug that appeared a couple of times, but asides from that, the game was enjoyable to play.
But then, I really couldn't care less about the missing multiplayer stuff as I simple wouldn't have used it anyway.

If it was gifted to you - doesn't that make it Free ;-)
Ghostbusters was a fun game, and I don't remember it having any technical issues or bugs (at least in my experience).
Ghostbusters was one of the worst games I have ever played, but that maybe because i have no nostalgic attachment to it.
The Penumbra Collection (All 3 games in the series) is the weekly deal on Direct2Drive for $4.99 in the US.
I've heard so many good things about this series that I couldn't resist picking it up this evening after work... Smallish download for those of you with bandwidth issues (Total size is around 1 gig)...
I fired each of the games up, there is an online activation you need a key for (D2D provides you with it when you buy the games), but other than that I can verify that they will at least launch in Win 7 x64. I have also read reports the games are compatible with Vista x64, so I'm assuming since they launch in 7, that is the case as well.
Be aware, though, D2D charges tax on your sale, whereas other DD companies do not unless you live in the state or region they are based out of.
I am so looking forward to playing this series!

No. Because I paid for it. The gift was to just get around the regional restrictions.

This will depend on your country/state, whatever. I know that D2D never charge me tax, neither does anywhere else I purchase online from (with the exception of Amazon.jp).

Thanks for clarifying. Funny enough when I purchased Penumbra I had to update my card on file... the tax went up about 12 cents for some reason. Not exactly breaking the bank, just peculiar.
Bought PacMan (PuckMan for those in Japan) from Impulse - What's Impulse::Reactor? You know with a title like that, programmers were involved.
Anyway, this should have been a nice, fast port to PC. instead, the MAME'd it (ya ya, bad pun - google it). This is PacMan programmed in either Managed C++ or C#, and it chugs on my 2GHz laptop. Okay, it has integrated graphics, but I have seen (at friend's houses) Pac Man fly on a K62-233 with 2M S3ViRGe video. Heck, it worked fine even on an 300MHz Cyrix with SiS motherboard that lost it's video settings if you looked at it funny. Back in the day, PacMan was maybe 100k in EEPROM images, so why does the EXE have to be 2.7M? To be fair, I suppose Reactor is in there somewhere. Whole setup is 15M, and I was expecting 5 and a 20-something year old game that would fly on my laptop. So, don't get this unless you have high-end hardware.

If they Mame packed it it would have run much better. Hell the Amiga 1200 can run Mame and Pacman with little fuss. Sloppy port which is pretty much what I expect from Namco Bandai on the PC.
Anyone know of any other deals for the boxed version of Tropico 3? eBay surprisingly doesn't have many good deals for this.

Amazon has probably the cheapest retail price. But digital is where the deals are at.
It seems that GamersGate is having a 1C week. With upto 75% off for over 60 titles.
I'm quite glad of this, as I was going to get the Space Rangers pack from Steam, but can now get it for the same price on GamersGate pretty much DRM free.

Same here. I just realized that, all the Space Rangers are DRM free on GamersGate and with a discount price.
