if you buy gamersgate's collection pack + the 4 DLCs which are not included on steam then it will be 3 cents cheaper. I personally don't think 3 cents are worth the trouble...

It is harder. But you don't have so many options to choose from. The game's harder because often it's more like constant war than the diplomacy, but the rules are quite simple.
