Does anyone know what time the daily deals end on D2D, Steam has its countdown but D2D does not mention when it switches to the 24th deal. Trying to get a hold of someone to gift it to me but they are afk.
wanna trade steam coupons to steam coal

StingingVelvet: Very upset by this. Since it seemed amazon ditched the stupid client and DRM I was making them my first-stop shopping source. Now I don't know what's going on. I emailed them to ask what's up with this game suddenly requiring the client.
Spiderweb got Securomed at Gamesrgate. Steamed at Steam. It's like the developer decided to try all possible ways to make purchases everywhere unsatisfactory.

I still think he's too expensive, but there's no DRM on his site, and he did permanently discount all his games there. They're not as cheap as Steam, for sure, but if DRM free is important to you he gave you an option. And he has super long demos.

If that's so, fuck, they didn't used to add any DRM beyond what you'd get from the dev by default (which sometimes meant Steam, I'll admit) but if it was DRM free from the dev it was DRM free from them.

Btw, their DRM free digital MP3s require their client to download, but definitlely don't have DRM. I assume it's not just the download step that requires the client, but the actual install step.

Yeah, I installed and launched without the client running and an amazon window pops up asking me to sign in.
Alright, so anyone want Cogs? It's a pretty good puzzle game but I've got two copies already. I don't need a third. I'll take just about any half decent trade.
Amazon says their client is not DRM and only downloads the files. If that is true then WTF is this:

I think that they just haven't bothered removing their own DRM from old games. I bought the 4 oddworld games from Amazon, the 2 oldest ones required the client to be running the first time I played the game but the other 2 where completely DRM free. Scratches Director's Cut was also DRM-free. This could also be because some of their games can be played for free for a limited time and they require the client for that purpose.

Hmmm, that could be it. if that ends up the case we could just avoid games that have that option.
Hello:

Is there a 4-pack buyers thread to find people interested in the same game deals?

... but that's a good thing for games that don't have official demos released.
Sorry folks, one more shameless bump for someone to grab region blocked DA2 off of D2D before it changes to another deal. $8 of GOG/Steam or Paypal. Can have my Steam coal too. Cheers!
