Dragobr: The sales finally hit me.

I'm getting Limbo, and two Tom Clancy's games. Which one of these is the least recommended: GRAW, RS Vegas or Hawx? As I will leave the sequels for later, do any of them have a cliffhanger ending?
Hawx is a very arcade like. Still fun, but don't expect a sim. And it has not Cliffhanger whatsoever. Everything gets resolved, iirc.

Pheace: You'd think if anyone would do some pricing equality for their product it's CDP ... seems like it's a mistake.
avatar
SimonG: I don't think CDP has a lot of say on the pricing of their Steam games.
since the pricing of games that are *actually* equally priced between regions seems to usually be pretty much publisher wide, I'm pretty sure they've got some say in it. Steam suggests pricings, sure, but the developer's have the final say. (unless it's something like the Russian case where the whole store was going to sell in Rubles, no choice there. Either do it or don't sell)

Cleidophoros: RS > Graw > Hawx

Well, I have played the demo for Hawx, and while it's the most unrealistic flight game I've ever played, it was quite fun.

Well, we're in a stalemate, so, if none of them have cliffhangers, what about game lenght? I don't expect any of them to be very long, but which one is shorter?

GRAW is very good. Most of the complaints are levelled at the crappy console version (those where the days...) and the fact that the PC version barely ran on the computers around the time of its release. Vegas is pretty damn good as a corridor shooter with some tactical elements. Hawx I don't know about.

Vegas doesn't have a conclusive ending. Vegas 2 is needed to wrap it up.

Well, I kind of expected that. It's settled then, grabbing GRAW (just played demo. Ran well, and seems pretty good) and Hawx. Vegas looks a lot of fun, but I'll get it later along with the sequel.

Thanks, everybody.
Here, it appears on Steam as
TW1 $2.49
TW2 $23.99

Also, Tom Clancy Pack for $44.99, you get like 15 games for less than the price of 01 retail release nowadays.

Civilization V $10.19 and Civilization V GOTY $16.99.
Just a reminder, since the Steam deals might make people forget..

The Witcher 2 is still $16 on Amazon's Black Friday deals (US-only), and you get a $5 coupon on select games for a 2011 bestseller purchase next January.
Well i wanted to recommend $7.5 Red Faction Armageddon on Impulse, but then Gamestop hit the fan:
Order Status: Processing...
Your order is queued for processing.
Your order has been received and queued for processing by customer service. You will receive an email within 1 business day, at which time you will be charged and your products delivered. If you have any questions about your order please contact downloadsupport@gamestop.com.

I paid with Paypal, and the transaction went through flawlessly(charged my bank account instantly). I dont really know what to say. I would really like to curse at them, but my mind is still numb from the shock.

???

PROFIT!
After a few minutes i did get my code, so yeah, Red Faction Armageddon 7,5 USD.

Also i saw other people getting this strange message at checkout, so maybe its actually part of the service: they scare you witless with error messages if you buy a horror themed game. :D

Is H.A.W.X. playable with a game pad? I wouldn't mind grabbing an arcade flight sim if it's playable with just a gamepad and mouse/keyboard.

Cool. I just noticed it has a demo, so I'll give it a shot and see if I like it.
Is Tom Clancys Endwar any good?

It's a neat concept, but I found that it didn't take long for the game to become rather repetitive.
Orcs Must Die and its DLCs are currently 50% off on Gamersgate ($7.50 for the main game, $2 for each DLC)
