They all seem to start in december, apart from the ones they had all the weekend
Crysis2 for $10 on Amazon DL.

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident for $2.50 on Steam. No other site has this classic game.

Most of the listed games are still from the thanksgiving sale, they have a timer and will end tomorrow. From the rss-feeds there a only a few new games listed (around 30), like spellforce series, Gray Matter, Warhammer 40k Space Marines or Black Mirror 2. Let's see if they extend the deals for the first christmas week or tomorrow do the big cleanup ;-) So, if you interested in a deal, check for a timer.

Edit: I'm talking about the gamersgate christmas sale.

All I need from these guys is to take X Superbox price to around 15,000 BC. Then I'll have a DRM-less replacement, for the same thing I got much cheaper but on Steam. Maybe I'll even play it.

By the way, if you buy 4 games, the 5th game is free, under the condition that it be cheaper than the other 4 games in your cart.

Thanks for that information, I completely missed that bar. So they have an ea special calendar (last year it was 1c?) and a normal advents calendar for the daily thrill. Also the giftcard is a nice idea.

Ah yeah you're right.
Hey guys, not sure if this is the correct thread for it, but I need some advice. There's only like an hour left on the dailies on Steam, and I have no idea if the Europa Universalis III deal is worth it.

EU3 Chronicles is the complete one, actually. It's missing only the Sprite Packs which can go to hell. EU3 Chronicles can be on sale at Paradox's own GamersGate which gives you a DRM-free installer, but I haven't seen it quite Steam-cheap yet. Was $7.50 for a while this summer.
Technical details aside, the game itself is quite complicated when it comes to diplomacy, while battles are automated strings of die rolls with modifiers. The scope and the tempo is highly dependent on the country you pick: Europe is in constant turmoil and mischief, while Native Americans can spend centuries doing literally nothing. There are mods expanding the nations selection and other things (like MEIOU).
No spectacular graphics, and if you had at least a week to think, I'd suggest reading some long AARs to get the idea of what can be done there.

I use GG too, maybe not as actively as Steam, and the DRM-free installer would certainly be good, but I don't cosider Steam a major disadvantage.

Can you compare it to some more mainstream games? It's a hard decision for me, 'cause I enjoy strategy games in general, but I'm not sure if the depth of it wouldn't scare me off at first.
Kinda late but anyone willing to gift me Dead Space 2 for $5 (only US I believe) ?

I'll paypal u the money.

They are best compared to other Paradox titles, especially Victoria. Apart from that, I think they are pretty unique. But they are totally worth it, once you got the hand of it. I think EU III is actually less complex than Vicki or HoI.

If you like looking at some historical map of the world and like to think "what would have been, if ..." it is your game.

Edit: My steam clock says I've played 98 hours and on Steam I only had the first three expansions. I later bought chronicles on GG, which I played at least as much! Just don't go for the demo, it is based on the core game, which is on no way comparable to the full Chronicles experience.
