A Valley Without Wind, the 3rd game from Arcen Games (AI War: Fleet Command, Tidalis) went into public beta + early pre-ordering today ("50% off during early beta -- only $10 USD!") a la Minecraft beta model. Obviously a bit biased but the people on the forum seem to love it so far, and it's been in development a while.

WOW that looks beautiful. Mix of Terraria, And Yet It Moves, and some other games.
Totally dig that art-style. And since it´s coming fromteh AI WAR guys this is not going to be short lived.


PS: anyone thinking Legendary is worth $4?

On a good day... The plot is idiotic. The only thing that looks good in the levels are distant background objects, while your path lies through poorly done box-hallway-box routes. The enemy you'll be fighting the most are werewolves, which are frigging everywhere and serve mostly to prevent you from falling asleep or to piss you off by killing you a few steps before a checkpoint. All the other monsters appear only once or twice in the entire game.

Hmm, interesting. FEAR 2 should be a Steamworks title. I ask GG about this.

The GG version is SecuROM. Only FEAR3 is Steamworks, FEAR 2 had it removed for other retailers.

Steam lists FEAR 2 under the accepted retail keys list that they allow to be registered so that should also be the case in other regions as well.

GamersGate confirmed that their version of FEAR 2 cannot be registered on Steam.

Is Total War: SHOGUN 2 ( for the single player ) worth to buy now or should i wait for the GOTY Edition ?
