Delixe: The Sega Megadrive/Genesis packs on sale on Steam are disgustingly good value. Buy them all.
Too bad Sega still won't include the Sonic games. I complained on Twitter and they told me to buy the complete pack if I wanted them. Or "individual games". WTF.
Edit: Oh yeah, the Toe Jam and Earl games are still gone from Steam.

Pretty dumb of them not to include the sonic games considering how easy it is to aquire a Genesis Emulator and the Roms. If that's the response they give customers then they can expect no money from me.

Speaking of games which never got a fair chance, the Drakensang bundle is the daily deal on Impulse for $7.50. http://www.impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-IMP-W2236.
Note that for some odd reason this does not include the expansion but does include both River of Time and The Dark Eye. I played them both last winter all the way to the end and if you like elves and wizard RPGs they are good games. The combat system is different and so is the way exp is handled (you have 'adventure points') but the story make sense and the production values are high. River of Time is the better of the two.

Didn't know TJ&E had been available. There's a comment somewhere saying Sega is negotiating a deal with its creators.

Kabuto: I'm surprised companies don't say piss off more often. Going to complain because you don't want to pay just a little more is silly. Also, all the games are usually $3, except the Sonic games, which are $5. It's not about not wanting to pay a little more - it's about not wanting to pay more for what is essentially a game rom...
Hell, why am I even complaining? I have a full Genesis romset on my computer. I'll just use that instead. Or maybe that Genesis PS2 collection with the shitty audio.
And wvpr, that deal has been going on since a long time ago. Nothing's changed.

Foxhack: It wouldn't be that much of an issue except they sell ALL the Genesis games on a single package on retail stores. All of 'em. Including Toe Jam and Earl. This TBH. It's under $15 for everything, I really can't see how anyone can complain about that. The TJ&E situation has been explained before by Sega, the problem is the license holders. They can't do anything about retail copies that have already been pressed/shipped but stopping a digital distribution is as easy as flicking a switch.

Don't listen to this person.
SEGA has previously released PC versions of Sonic Adventure DX and Crazy Taxi on PC. They were high resolution and ran well, etc. You might think you were buying these games. You're not.
These are the 2011 ports. I've only played Sonic Adventure DX, but I assume most of this goes for the rest of the games in the collection. It were ported from PC to Xbox 360, then back again. It runs at 640x480 and is just upscaled to whatever resolution you choose. As a result, it doesn't run well on older systems. It runs and looks worse than the version released ten years ago. Also, all the bonus Game Gear games you could unlock in the PC version of Sonic Adventure are removed.
If you want Space Channel 5: Part 2 or SEGA Bass Fishing, go for it. Otherwise, look around for the older ports.

€2.49 for 4 Dreamcast games. That's nothing to complain about not matter how poor the port is. For the price it's a steal and for most people this will be the first chance they had to play Space Channel 5: Part 2 because it was never relased outside of Japan other than a limited run in France.

Space Channel Five part 2 was released on PS2 in north america. It came in a two pack containing both games. However, on steam you can change the language to japanese and the PS2 version's difficulty level was said to be a lot higher than the japanese originals. I'm concerned about the input sync issues on pc that have caused some to fail despite entering the correct timed sequence.
