HampsterStyle: Steam lists FEAR 2 under the accepted retail keys list that they allow to be registered so that should also be the case in other regions as well.
avatar
gyokzoli: GamersGate confirmed that their version of FEAR 2 cannot be registered on Steam.
So what's the downside in that steam thing? Nothing?
Should be same price as the first fear...
I guess you can't combine blue coins and real money in GG? I only would need 400 points more. =) Then I could get it.
Well.. I guess that I can get it later but it would cost. =)

Basicly nothing...

You can buy blue coins, the lowest amount is 1000 BC for 1 USD (or equivalent EUR/GBP).

Hmm.. Maybe I'll check that out. I guess that game could be worth 1 euro.
I've had a pretty good day so far. So I don't waste time that euro vs dollar shite. But it's still wrong I tells ye.
Maybe I'll write couple of reviews and hope that they will give some points from that. Already used the star ratings.
Valley without Wind just made it into GamersGate catalog for $9.95

I guess if you don´t want to register with just another payservice this is your chance.
If I google that GG buy blue coins.. And I'm logged in, I can get to the screen where I supposedly can buy those coins but would like to know how to get there inside the site in a normal way. For a future knowledge.

It's on the left menu: My Account > Buy Blue Coins

My Account menu->Buy Blue Coins.
Mind, Euro game prices in BC are about 40% higher than the ones from the USD zone.

Didn't notice that.. I thought that they would be in blue coins section.. But now it's clear.
And prices higher? I'm not much suprised. At least, seems that the 1000 blue coins costs under euro. 0.74 e infact. That's at least something. Or should I say that I can live with that for now.

Also.. Did fear 2 support controller?

Edit: Well, I'll still wait for a while and see if steam puts some great game freaking cheap in sale.

Very tempting. Also, Xenus 2 and Precursors are on sale again]/b]. Not that it's a bad thing since Xenus 2 is a pretty good game and I hear Precursors is too.
Now that I've been asking.. I'll continue. If I recall right.. When you advance in those GG levels, do you get better deals or some more deals or is that just some sort of urban legend? So does it matter in anyway that are you level 1 or 5?

Precursors is alright. It has grand ideas with a less than ideal solution. The space combat was off-putting and the ending was the worst I have ever seen. It's worth buying just for the ambition though (and I didn't find it all that buggy).
Steam:
Midweek Madness - Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale 50% off!
Daily Deal - Driver® Parallel Lines 66% off!

I think I got some extra blue coins a while ago while buying some games, which was a really nice move on GG's part. I mean hey, free blue coins is still free.

I don't think they've implemented that (or the minion discounts) yet. Achievements do give you coins however.

They better give me coins.. Well, it's something extra, like lowyhong said. I calculated that if I just buy blue coins, do I get games cheaper. No.. It's pretty much the same. Perhaps identical price. So no go. But in this case, pretty handy.
